Abstract: A play yard can be locked in an unfolded position via a latch mechanism or unlocked by the latch mechanism to fold to a folded position, by means of lifting a central member and bringing the rail members, the upper support members, the lower support members, and the connecting members to rotate toward the center of the play yard. A spring-loaded engaging member disposed on the rail member can have engagement with the bracket so that the play yard can be stably retained in the folded position. When the engaging member is operated to disengage from the bracket, the rail members, the upper support members, the lower support members, and the connecting members rotate away from the center of the play yard all the way to the unfolded position until the connecting members can be locked by the latch mechanism, which retains the play yard in the unfolded position.

Abstract: A swinging door hinge has a panel and a frame. The frame includes a horizontal portion, and the horizontal portion has an aperture therethrough. An elongated pivot pin is vertically disposed through the aperture. A gripper feature is located on a surface of the pivot pin. The gripper feature engages a corresponding surface on the panel such that when the panel is rotated, a resulting torsional force transferred to the pivot pin is spread over contact area between the gripper feature and the surface of the panel. Because the torque is transferred over a greater area, stress concentrations in the panel are reduced and the panel is not deformed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hinge for preventing injuries due to crushing, especially in doors and windows, comprising a first hinge leaf (4) for connection to the door leaf (1) or the window leaf, a second hinge leaf (5) for connection with the door or window frame (2) and a swivel joint (6) which connects the first and second hinge leaves (4, 5) to one another. Either the first or the second hinge leaf (4, 5) is equipped with one or more fingers (7) projecting substantially at right angles from the plane of the hinge leaf (4, 5), and adapted for axial sliding movement in an opening or slot (11) arranged for the finger (7) or each finger (7) in the frame (2) or the door leaf (1). When the door leaf or window leaf is brought towards the closed position, the finger (7), if it meets with a foreign object, will slide axially out of the opening or slot (11) and create a distance between the door or window frame (2) and the door or window leaf (1).

Abstract: A hinge device is provided for pivoting a cover to a base housing and is designed such that when the cover is in a closed position it does not easily come off the base housing when subjected to external force yet the cover is easily and readily removable for replacement. The hinge device has an engagement hole 12c disposed on a housing 12 to pivotably support a cover 13 around a pivot axis, an engagement portion 13a is disposed on cover 13 to rotatably fit in the engagement hole and is formed relatively short so that it can easily disengage from engagement hole 12c when an impact is received. An arcuate guide groove 12d is formed on the housing around the engagement hole so that a guide pin 13b on the cover can engage with the guide groove to guide cover movement between open and closed positions as well as aid in absorbing impact forces acting on the cover when the cover is closed.
