Abstract: A bi-directional door opening structure includes a front door configured to be rotatably opened with respect to a front hinge part positioned in a roof of a vehicle, a rear door configured to be rotatably opened with respect to a rear hinge part positioned in the roof of the vehicle, and a drive unit positioned in the roof at a point where the front door and the rear door are adjacent to each other, and configured to apply an opening force to the front door and the rear door, wherein the drive unit includes a spindle unit configured to open at least one of the front door and the rear door, which has been unlocked by a driving force applied from a driving part, and a differential gear configured to deliver the driving force between the spindle unit and the driving part.

First and second doors cover the opening, and a translatable hinge, such as a gooseneck hinge, connects the first door to the vehicle. The hinge is adapted for moving the first door away from the second door, and then allowing the first door to pivot to an open position about a single pivot axis. A striker is adapted for allowing a latch for latching the first door to move along the striker in a latched condition during translation of the hinge, and may include an elongated, angled striker bar for permitting the first door to move both along and outboard of the vehicle body during the opening sequence.

As the door swings, the leaf also rotates and the accelerometer determines an acceleration value. A velocity of the swinging door may be determined from the acceleration value. An initial, instantaneous, and final angular position of the door may also be determined from the acceleration value.

The support member is secured to the hinge member to be pivotable between a lighting position, in which electrical components are concealed, and a maintenance position, in which the electrical components are exposed. Abstract: A door frame with a substantially continuous sealing surface supports a door with a substantially continuous sealing member mounted thereon. A stepped U-shaped frame member has an opening at one end that is closed with a square-cut member, such as a threshold. The frame, threshold and hinges mounted on the frame provide a substantially continuous sealing surface. The bores of the hinge knuckles may be matched with bushings in the bores, so that the bushings must be properly oriented. The heads of the bushings may have at least two steps or raised contact surfaces and at least two indentations or depressed contact surfaces. When the doors are opened, the steps on their bushings in the pivoting hinge leaves drop into the indentations in the adjacent fixed hinge leaf and hold the door in position.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for a gaming machine including a hinge pin fixed to a door of the gaming machine and a outer sleeve fixed to a belly door frame. The outer sleeve includes first and second arms and is partially annular in cross-section defining a first gap between opposing ends of the arms. A pin element is fixed to a light chamber located behind the belly door frame and rotatably mounted inside the outer sleeve. A second gap is defined between free ends of the pin element. When the pin element is rotated to a particular orientation with respect to the outer sleeve, the first and second gaps align to allow the pin element and outer sleeve element to be simultaneously mounted around the hinge pin. Relative rotation of the pin element and outer sleeve misaligns the gaps thereby inhibiting the pin element and outer sleeve from becoming disengaged.

Abstract: A display device of the type having a plurality of parallel prisms that rotate intermittently and synchronously to present the surfaces of the different panels of each prism for view to provide different composite advertising designs. All the prisms are identical and each is formed with three identical panels that are rectangular and extend longitudinally of the prism. The panels have hinge sections formed integrally along their edges for meshing with hinge sections of adjacent panels in a piano-hinge-like arrangement. A removable hinge pin is disposed in at least one hinge connection so that upon removal of the hinge pin the adjacent panel can be swung open to allow access to the interior of the prism for changing a burned out illuminating device, such as a fluorescent or neon light.

Abstract: A catcher for use in a component stacker for holding stacks of product die-cut from a continuous sheet of material. The catcher includes two catcher plates attached to a pivot pin for upward and downward pivoting between generally horizontal and generally vertical positions, thereby providing support for adjacent edges of two adjacent stacks of product.
