Toilet Seat Lifter Patents (Class 16/905)
  • Patent number: 11684224
Abstract: A removable toilet seat lifter that includes a seat mount, a handle, and a handle couple. The seat mount may be able to attach to a toilet seat. The handle may be able to lift the toilet seat and may have a coupling end and a user end. An extension member may connect the coupling end to the user end and may have two or more telescoping members nested within each other. The telescoping members may be able to slide within each other to adjust the length of the extension member. The handle couple may be able to couple the handle to the seat mount, in such a way that they may also be released from each other. The handle couple may be affixed to the seat mount and may include a handle receiver which may accept and retain the coupling end of the handle.

  • Patent number: 6691330
Abstract: A grasping handle for a toilet seat includes a base unit having an inner lip and a slidable handle unit having an outer lip. The handle unit telescopes into the base unit. In a preferred embodiment, the handle unit includes a pair of toothed prongs which engage matching teeth on the interior of the base unit. The lips grasp the inner and outer perimeters of the toilet seat between them and the spacing is held by the engagement of the teeth. A release mechanism includes plungers which bias the prongs away from the interior walls, disengaging the teeth. In an alternative embodiment, the prongs include a cross member which carries a torsion spring with arms that engage the base unit interior walls. The torsion spring biases the handle into a fully telescoped condition and thereby exerts a spring force to keep a toilet seat grasped between the inner and outer lips.

  • Patent number: 6212694
Abstract: A toilet seat accessory mounted to the toilet seat cover and having a blocking device extending beyond a perimeter of the cover to block access to a flush handle of the toilet when the cover is in the raised position. A latching device on the accessory removably latches to the seat such that as the cover is moved between the raised and lowered positions, the seat is held by the opposite end of the toilet seat accessory and moves with the cover between the raised and lowered positions. The latching device has a tab connected with the latching device, whereby upon the cover and seat being in the raised position, pushing on the tab removes the latching device from the seat, thereby releasing the seat from being latched with the cover.
