Abstract: In a dual sash window assembly having a pair of overlapping sashes mounted within an outer frame for relative horizontal movement, the outer frame has a stepped sill, with a pair of parallel spaced rails formed thereon as upward extensions from the risers of two of the steps. Mounted on the respective rails for rolling movement therealong, the sashes have bottom horizontal frame members carrying weathertight sealing strips arranged to make sliding engagement with the exterior surfaces of the respective risers of the sill. The sealing strips serve to make the window perfectly weathertight in spite of the presence of dust outlets formed by cutting away parts of the rails.
Abstract: A track for combined monorail and overhead monorail having a power supply and control tracks consisting of a U-shaped rail section having inwardly extending flanges at its upper sides for receiving the rollers or wheels of the accessory device. At least one shoulder section is formed on the lower surface of the bottom portion of the U-shaped rail section as well as on the upper surface of the upper inwardly extending flange so that the track can be mounted on a suitable support or suspension structure.
Abstract: A traverse rod for curtains has a plurality of walls forming a hollow box-like cross section. One of the walls contains an opening for receiving slides or rollers attachable to the curtains. An adjacent wall contains a C-shaped recess and a U-shaped recess. These recesses may be used to receive curtain slides or rollers and/or to mount the traverse rod in its various orientations. The wall opposite the wall containing the recesses has a projection depending therefrom which may be used as a contact surface for the slides or rollers in certain orientations of the traverse rod.
Abstract: Panel attached guides for tub enclosures and the like having an inclined and unobstructed combined water return and track for sliding panels, the guides having a slotted portion for receiving the lower edge portion of a panel with fastening means for securing the guides to the panel and a second slotted portion for slidably receiving a ledge on the track to permit the sliding movement of the panels in side by side relation. The guides mounted on the panel that is further removed from the ledge than the other panel being provided with a web portion joining the slotted portion of such a width to permit the other panel to slide along the track without obstructing the sliding movement of the further removed panel.
Abstract: A curtain rod assembly manufactured primarily from extruded aluminum components, the curtain rod defining an elongated cruciform groove in its upper portion to receive therein a like shaped support part, a horizontal flange being provided at the rod's lower portion to receive wheeled curtain carriers, the rod being symmetrical about a vertical plane. In a modification of the rod, instead of a vertically elongated cruciform groove, a vertical plate-liked portion is provided wherein such upper vertical portion is fastened through horizontal bolts to an overhead support, a flange on the lower aspect with a horizontal cross piece defining tracks for the wheeled curtain carriers as in the first modification, this second modification also being symmetrical about a vertical plane.
Abstract: A combined track for hanging doors and fascia in which the fascia has an inverted lip that engages a series of clips along the side of the track. The clips, which are integrally formed from the rolled sheet metal of the track, provide slots which are frictionally engaged by the inverted lip of the fascia to secure the fascia in position.
Abstract: Two sliding doors are supported to hang vertically, without floor guides for their lower edges, by offsetting the planes of the doors relative to the planes of the supporting tracks in directions so that the lower portions of the doors press towards each other. Intermediate doors, in three or more door assemblies, may be supported to hang vertically. Arms, attached to doors and supporting rollers bearing on the tracks, are interfingered, thereby avoiding general arm interference and maintaining lapping of doors.
Abstract: A bathtub closure means comprising horizontally extending panel means arranged to close about two-thirds of the distance between the top of a tub wall and a ceiling of normal height and arranged in open position to provide access and entry to the tub along virtually the entire length of the tub with substantial head room. A bathtub closure and method of assembly comprising jamb means, sill means, panel means, and panel guide means arranged and constructed to facilitate shipping, installing, assemblying and aligning in an opening to provide an effective closure of light weight and smooth operation.
Abstract: An apparatus including a track which may have square corners, a carriage therefor, a carriage braking device, and a container holder supported from the carriage, wherein the holder may be quickly located in a desired position and maintained in this position.
