Patent number: 10927598Abstract: A dual curtain closure system for covering a portal wherein each curtain has a length greater than the length of the lateral margins of the portal, a first end fixedly attached across the portal at an upper end thereof, and a second end folded back on itself to define an upwardly opening pocket. An elongated rod is supported within each pocket. A first spindle winds and unwinds the first curtain and a second spindle winds and unwinds the second curtain. A drive motor is operable to simultaneously rotate the first and second spindles such that the upwardly opening pockets of the curtains are concomitantly raised or lowered. A predetermined distance between the rods is maintained as the pockets are raised or lowered, which facilitates sealing of the curtains to the lateral margins of the portal as the curtains are lowered.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2017Date of Patent: February 23, 2021Assignee: HH Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Grant W. Patent number: 10170024Abstract: A multi-panel display project board with a center panel between two side panels and with a header panel movable between a fold-in position and a fold-out position. Each panel has a medium sandwiched between two linerboards. Creases between the panels are formed by slitting linerboard beneath the creases. The side panels may be spread apart to define obtuse angles relative to the central panel and yet retain their position on their own when erected on a flat surface. The header panel has a long segment separated from two shorter segments by segment creases. When the header panel is in the fold-in position after pivoting from a fully folded orientation about panel creases, the shorter segments define respective obtuse angles with the long segment. In the fold-out position after pivoting the header panel about additional creases, the shorter segments define respective reflex angles instead.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2017Date of Patent: January 1, 2019Assignee: Royal Consumer Products LLCInventors: Craig McGrath, Steven A. Patent number: 10163378Abstract: A multi-panel display project board with a center panel between two side panels and with a header panel movable between a fold-in position and a fold-out position. Each panel has a medium sandwiched between two linerboards. Creases between the panels are formed by slitting linerboard beneath the creases or by forming the creases each as a crushed score. The header panel has a long segment separated from two shorter segments by segment creases. When the header panel is in the fold-in position after pivoting from a fully folded orientation about panel creases, the shorter segments define respective obtuse angles with the long segment. In the fold-out position after pivoting the header panel about additional creases, the shorter segments define respective reflex angles instead. Patent number: 6243795Abstract: A data storage system includes redundant write caches, a disk controller and an array of disks. One of the redundant write caches is a primary write cache of RAM or NVRAM, and another is a backup write cache having a hybrid memory structure of a relatively small amount of NVRAM in combination with a cache-disk space mapped to disk. The cache-disk space may be located on a single disk within the disk array, or distributed over a number of the plurality of disks in the array. In one embodiment, the array of disks can may be configured as a RAID architecture. The data storage system of the present invention preferably employs a conventional, fast-write-fast-read primary write cache and a non-volatile, hybrid memory backup write cache. The redundant write caches are asymmetric since the primary write cache and the backup write cache have different sizes and structures.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1998Date of Patent: June 5, 2001Assignee: The Board of Governors for Higher Education, State of Rhode Island and Providence PlantationsInventors: Qing Yang, Yiming Hu
