Sliding Pawl Or Detent Patents (Class 160/304.1)
  • Patent number: 10626667
Abstract: A window covering includes a head rail that supports a panel by lift cords such that one end of the panel may be raised and lowered relative to the head rail. An operating system controls movement of the panel and includes spools coupled to the lift cords such that rotation of the spools retracts and extends the lift cords. A shaft is connected to a spool of the lift spool assembly and to a brake and a spring motor. The spring motor applies a motor force to the shaft and the brake applies a brake force to the shaft such that the forces generated by the spring motor and brake hold the panel in the desired position.

  • Patent number: 8851143
Abstract: A single pull rope driving device for a window shade includes a rotation driving device (3) mounted to a bracket (1) and having a pull rope (12). A gear (7) is jointly rotatable with a reeling drum (2) for releasing/winding a curtain cloth (26). A rack (9) is movable in a vertical direction and includes teeth (10a) releasably engaged with the gear (7). A return spring (11) biases the rack (9) to disengage the teeth (10a) of the rack (9) from the gear (7). An actuating member (13) mounted on the pull rope (12) can move the rack (9) downward by pulling the pull rope (12), driving the gear (7) and the reeling drum (2) to rotate in a winding direction. The gear (7) and the reeling drum (2) are rotatable in the winding or releasing direction by pulling the pull rope (12) downward without actuating the rack (9).

  • Patent number: 8312912
Abstract: A sunshade assembly includes a housing having a top opening, a winding shaft mounted rotatably in the housing, a sunshade cloth wound around the winding shaft, a pull rod disposed outside the top opening, a frame body disposed below the housing, a gear rack mounted to the frame body and having a top end connected to the pull rod, and a clutch unit meshing with the gear rack and including a pusher that is operable to place the clutch unit in a non-clutching position, where the gear rack is freely movable to permit the sunshade cloth to be wound by the winding shaft, or a clutching position, where the clutch unit applies a retarding force to retard a movement of the gear rack, which prevents the winding shaft from winding the sunshade cloth but permits the pull rod to pull and stop the sunshade cloth at a desired position.

  • Patent number: 7886805
Abstract: A spring tensioning unit for a roll-up closure, the closure having a pair of end plates and an axle rotatably mounted on the endplates. A drum for carrying a closure is rotatably mounted on the axle, and a tensioning coil spring is mounted on the axle and connected between the axle and the drum. The tensioning unit has a ratchet wheel fixedly mounted on the axle adjacent one end plate, the wheel having spaced apart teeth. A stop member is slidably mounted on the one end plate with a stop tab cooperating with the teeth on the wheel to stop rotation of the wheel in a direction reducing tension on the spring. A lever is mounted between the wheel and the end plate, the lever having a lever tab for cooperating with the wheel, the lever movable on the axle to position the lever tab against a tooth and to then rotate the tooth, and the axle, in a direction to increase tension on the spring.

  • Patent number: 7111658
Abstract: A locking mechanism (20) for locking a roller-tube (30) in its assembly (22), such as found in awning contraptions mounted on RV and other motor vehicles (34). A shaft (42) slides to-and-fro in its bore (44) extending between end walls (35, 36) of a body (33). A collar (49) at one end of shaft (42) captures the latter's motion at one end (50) of body (33). Another collar (53) disposed on shaft (42) along its length projecting beyond the opposite end (54) of body (33) also prevents escape of shaft (42) from body (33) in its other direction. Collars (49, 53) function to limit the sliding of shaft (42) back and forth as a hooking wand is applied to one or the other.
