Abstract: A deck curtain and mounting system using vertical posts attachable to a deck rail or decking form a structure supporting curtains hung from cross members positioned between the vertical posts to surround or encompass a deck area. The method of shading or securing the privacy of a deck area includes attaching vertical posts to a rail cap of a deck structure surrounding a deck area and attaching rotatable horizontal connectors to the vertical posts so that cross members may be connected between the vertical posts for hanging privacy curtains from the cross members around the deck structure.

Abstract: The slide assembly comprises a slide and at least one pushing unit. The slide has a platform and a sliding section. The at least one pushing unit is connected to the slide and has a connecting member, an adjusting member, two pushing blocks, and a securing member. The connecting member is securely mounted in the slide and two ends of the connecting member respectively extend out of the slide. The adjusting member is movably connected to one of the two ends of the connecting member and has multiple fastening portions spaced from each other. The two pushing blocks are respectively connected to the connecting member and the adjusting member. The securing member is selectively fastened with one of the fastening portions. The slide assembly is securely mounted on the stairway and has enhanced stability to reduce risk of playing on the slide.

Abstract: A vertically movable cantilevering type gate is disclosed. All that is required is an elongated cylinder mounted vertically and a piston rod slidably mounted therein. The piston rod is mounted for vertical movement in the cylinder and suitable laterally spaced vertically movable guides are provided to maintain the gate in alignment with the gate opening. Preferably a channel shaped cap bar is positoned to overlie a trough into which interconnected link members are adapted to fold. The link members support laterally extending mesh type closure members which close the gate opening when the gate is elevated. The gate is controlled by a water pressure operated system. The valves controlling the flow of pressurized water to actuate the gate are controlled electrically. In one desirable construction when no electric power is applied, the valves direct water under pressure to urge the piston rod upwardly in the cylinder to maintain the gate in the obstructing or closed position.
