Abstract: This invention provides a chair's backrest folding screen device to be primarily installed in a chair's backrest, once installed, the user can deploy the unit to a full size geometrical figure screen background behind the back rest. When the user is seated, and in front of a camera, the captured image frame is of the user and the background screen blocking any other image the camera may capture without the use of the device. The unit also provides visual privacy by partially blocking the view from behind the chair's backrest and also provides auditive privacy in a shared space by absorbing the ambient noise.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for erecting a retractable wall system. More particularly, this invention relates to a retractable wall system and its components which may be used to divide a room or space, create an acoustic barrier, create a freestanding structure, or provide an awning.

Abstract: A shade system includes a plurality of shade assemblies each including an elongated shade tube having an inner surface defining an inner cavity, an outer surface for winding receipt of a flexible shade, at least one coupling end, and an axis of rotation; a connector assembly having a first coupling unit secured to the inner surface at the coupling end of a first shade tube and a second coupling unit secured to the inner surface at the coupling end of a second shade tube substantially adjacent the first shade tube, the first coupling unit and the second coupling unit cooperating to transfer an applied torque from the first shade tube to the second shade tube; an end bracket for rotatably supporting a free end portion of a shade tube when attached to a supporting structure; and a mounting bracket for adjusting the connector assembly.

Abstract: A deployable vision obstructer for use in lockdown drills and procedures. A flexible shade is attached to a door surface above a window by means of a mounting assembly connected to a proximal end of the flexible shade. The flexible shade is configurable between a retracted position and a deployed position and is opaque such that when in the deployed position, the flexible shade obstructs the field of view through the window. The flexible shade is rolled up into the retracted position and is held in place by a shade retaining assembly, such that the flexible shade may readily be deployed as needed. An at least one weight is connected to a distal end of the flexible shade, being positioned opposite the proximal end, in order to assist in deploying the flexible shade. Additionally, a security key is coupled to the distal end for locking the door.

Abstract: A motorized window treatment support apparatus which allows a user to selectively position the motor on either side of the window over which the window treatments hang. In particular, the support apparatus includes rotatable mounting brackets which may be rotated relative to a support rod to allow the support apparatus to be mounted to the wall in one of two configurations which differ by 180 degrees.

Abstract: A removable dog screen for placement in the rear opening door of a vehicle to provide shade and ventilation to an animal within the vehicle for a short period of time. The disclosure provides for a removable dog screen that spans across the rear opening of a vehicle such as an SUV. Disclosed system incorporates elastic bands for keeping the screen taught as well as mesh material allowing for ventilation.

Abstract: A roller curtain fixing bracket assembly includes a left support, a right support, a decoration board and two cover boards covering the left and right supports. A roller curtain device can be installed between the main bodies of the left and right supports. Each of the left and right supports has a plate board main body and several fixing boards protruding from outer edges of the plane board main body. Front edge of each of two fixing boards extending from two sides of the plane board main body is formed with a split. The decoration board has a horizontal panel and a vertical panel. A top end and a certain section of the vertical panel are formed with hook bars inserted and latched in the splits of the left and right supports and assembled therewith. The cover boards serve to conceal the seams between the supports and the decoration board.

The shared space divider comprises a hub that is placed on a portion of a surface, and at least one partitioning structure coupled to a portion of the hub. The at least one partitioning structure comprises a separator configured to partition the surface into two or more sections. The separator has a ribbon structure, an accordion structure, or a fan structure. The at least one partitioning structure is configured to extend from and retract into or, alternatively, fold out from and fold into the hub. In some embodiments, the shared space divider comprises at least one container for holding items commonly found on the surface. In other embodiments, the shared space divider comprises a clip for attaching to documents. Yet, in other embodiments, images such as advertisements are displayed on at least one of the separator and the hub.

Abstract: A coupling device of a shading member, includes a frame and two coupling modules. Each coupling module includes a main member fixed to a top or a bottom of the shading member, two positioning members connected to the main member, and two controlling members connected to the positioning members. The positioning members are received in the main member, each of which has a gear to engage a rack of the frame. The positioning members are movable by moving the controlling members to make the gears engage or disengage the racks. As a result, the shading member is able to be assembled or disassembled in an easy way.

Abstract: A skew adjustment method and apparatus for adjusting the skewed condition of a movable rail of a window covering in which the movable rail is supported by lift cords wrapped around spools. A drive train disconnecting mechanism is used to disconnect a first spool from a second spool, the first spool is rotated relative to the second spool, thereby changing the length of the first lift cord relative to the second lift cord until the movable rail is in the desired position; and then the first and second spools are reconnected so the first and second spools rotate together. An end cap may be used to enable multiple disassemblies and reassemblies of the end cap to access the skew adjustment mechanism. In one embodiment, there are two movable rails, and the lift cords for both movable rails extend through the same rout holes in the covering. Disconnecting the first spool from the second spool may activate a mechanism that prevents the second spool from rotating.

Abstract: A monitor system having: a) a monitor for an electronic device with a frame and a substantially flat front wall, at which an image is projected; and b) a cover assembly with a front wall that is configured to block the flat front wall of the monitor with the cover assembly operatively engaged with the monitor. The cover assembly further has a mounting assembly that allows the cover assembly to be changed between: i) a first state wherein the cover assembly is fully separated from the monitor; and ii) a second state wherein the cover assembly is operatively engaged with the monitor. The mounting assembly has a pocket that opens in a first direction. The pocket is movable in the first direction relative to the monitor from a separated, pre-assembly position to cause a first part of the monitor to be seated in the pocket with the cover assembly in the second state.

Abstract: A pleated wall covering system includes a bracket for hanging and pleating wall fabric. The bracket includes a plurality of longitudinally extending planar mounting portions and a plurality of longitudinally spaced u-shaped pleating portions interspaced between the mounting portions. In an illustrative embodiment, a receiver includes opposing upper and lower slots configured to receive the mounting portions of the bracket.

Abstract: Portable privacy spaces are described that include an open door of a vehicle, and an opaque sheet attached to a first fastener and a second fastener. The first fastener is attached to the open door of the vehicle and the second fastener is attached to another surface of the vehicle. The door, the sheet, and the vehicle form a perimeter for the privacy space. Also, methods of forming a privacy space are described that include the steps of opening a first door of a vehicle, and attaching a first fastener to the open door, where the first fastener is also attached to an opaque sheet. A second fastener is attached to another surface of the vehicle, where the second fastener is also attached to the opaque sheet. The open door, the opaque sheet and the rest of the vehicle form the privacy space.

Abstract: The present invention describes a window covering which is useful for securing to objects having windows without using permanent attachment devices. The window covering preferably contains a plurality of magnets arranged along the upper end and along the lower end. The magnets are arranged so that they are coupleable or securable to a metal part of a window itself or a metal surface which houses the window as well as one or more additional magnets positioned within the window covering.

Abstract: The invention provides a mounting system for holding one or more affinity displays upon a window in an exceptionally stable manner. The apparatus comprises a drape that is capable of being wrapped around the edge or frame edge of a window, and the drape is also attached to a plurality of surface mounting components. The drape is further linked to the affinity display.

The suspended panel system can include a first connector having a panel mounting portion configured to be coupled to a first edge portion of a panel. The first connector can include a first hook having a first channel open toward the panel. The suspended panel system can also include a second connector configured to be coupled to a mounting surface above the panel. The second connector can include a second hook having a second channel open away from the panel such that the first hook and the second hook removably engage one another by having the first hook engage the second channel and the second hook engage the first channel.

Abstract: A cordless window curtain includes a curtain connected between the head box and the bottom bar. A controller, a fixed unit and a movably unit are located in the head box. The movable unit is movably located between the controller and the fixed unit. Multiple driving ropes go around guide members of the movable unit and the fixed unit. The resilient rope goes over the pulley in the controller and two ends of the resilient rope are respectively connected to the controller and the fixed unit. By lifting or lowering the bottom bar, the resilient rope is activated to move the movable unit so as to pull or release the driving ropes to allow the curtain to be lifted or lowered.

Abstract: A window covering comprises an upper rail, a window shade, a lower rail, a press member located in the lower rail and extended therefrom, a first press assembly and a second press assembly located in the lower rail and spaced from each other to contact the press member, and a cord winding assembly located in the lower rail to connect to the first and second press assemblies. A first cord and a second cord run through the window shade to fasten to the cord winding assembly. A user can depress the press member and push or pull the lower rail upwards or downwards, so that the window shade can be retracted upwards or extended downwards through the first and second cords. Moreover, the first and second cords are held inside the lower rail, hence accident caused by the exposed cords can be prevented.

The panel includes a support sheet and at least one vane or slat connected to the support sheet. The at least one vane includes a vane material operably connected to a first side of the support sheet and a support member operably connected to the vane material and configured to support the vane material at a distance away from the support sheet when the panel is in an extended position with respect to the support tube.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind employs a hand-operated, spring biased clamp with a pair of compressible handles that open spring-biased clamping jaws. The clamping jaws include internal grooves for sure gripping. An elongated, bendable arm extends from one of the clamp handles. An attachment juncture formed in one of the handle ends secures the arm to the clamp. The flexible metal arm can be configured by bending as desired by a hunter to assume a desired shape. A camouflage curtain is secured to the arm, which supports it like a flag pole. When an area for deployment is reached, the clamp is affixed to an available object, such as a tree limb, support the curtain and camouflage a limited selected area. The shape of the concealed arm can be varied by bending the arm. The curtain bottom may be secured to a convenient object to prevent movement.

Abstract: A sunshade device for a side window of a vehicle includes a sunshade cloth having two opposite side portions and a pair of non-metallic stretchable support elements that are respectively provided on the two opposite side portions. The non-metallic stretchable support elements are resilient stitch lines that are made of nylon and that are sewn on the two opposite side portions in a plain sewing manner.

Abstract: In a spring-loaded curtain mount, the mount includes a pole interface at a proximal end, a compressive mechanism, and a head at a distal end. The pole interface is adapted to receive the end of a standard length adjustable pole or a painter's pole. The compression mechanism is disposed between the proximal end of the mount and the head. The mount includes a coupling device adapted to receive a portion of a curtain. During installation, the curtain mount is coupled to the end of an extension pole and the length of the pole is adjusted such that the combined length of the pole and mount is slightly longer than the distance between the floor and ceiling. At ground level, a portion of the curtain is attached to the head of the curtain mount. The curtain and mount are raised to the ceiling and the mount and pole are compressed between the floor and the ceiling. This compressive force operates to urge the head toward the ceiling, securing the mount in place.

Abstract: A screen assembly for a window comprising a screen supported by an elongate support member adapted to be mounted in an upper region of the window opening, a pair of mounting brackets being provided for attachment to respective sides of the window opening adjacent the top face of the window opening, each end of the elongate support member having means for engaging a respective mounting bracket, whereby the mounting brackets may be attached the sides of a window opening such that the support member may be engaged onto the mounting brackets to mount the support member in the window opening.

The upper or lower ends of the panel are retained on pivot pins while the end of the panel opposite the pivot pins is removably locked to the support. The locking structure includes a latch that can be released from a position outside the enclosure and a lock that is lockable and unlockable from inside the enclosure. When the lock is actuated, the latch cannot be unlatched until the lock is subsequently unlocked.

The apparatus comprises a drape that is capable of being wrapped around the edge or frame edge of a window, and the drape is also attached to a plurality of surface mounting components. Abstract: A curtain cable positioning device is engaged with the hole in the head box and the underside of the curtain cable positioning device is in contact with the inside of the head box. The curtain cable positioning device includes a body with two recesses defined in two opposite sides thereof and two arms extend from the underside of the body. The two arms are engaged with the hole of the head box. A slot is defined between the two arms and two notches are respectively defined in two ends of the body. The cable passes through the notch and the slot, and is connected with the curtain. The cable is not loosened or hooked to other parts in the head box.

Abstract: There is disclosed an improved roller tube having a tubular wall, opposite ends and a channel running longitudinally on the surface of the tubular wall for receiving an attachment insert for a fabric sheet. The attachment insert includes an elongated flat member having opposite ends, opposite sides, a thickness, opposite side edges and a width. The channel includes first and second side walls with first and second lips extending perpendicularly from said walls, respectively. The first and second lips partially enclose an interior of the channel with the second lip extending further than the first lip. The lips are separated by an elongated slot having a width less than the thickness of the attachment insert. The first lip has a beveled edge angled towards the interior and the second lip has a beveled edge angled away from the interior. The insert is dimensioned to fit in the channel.

The first, second, and third walls are arranged to form an internal cavity of the elongate member. The internal cavity has an opening running in a direction of a length of the elongate member, along a side of the elongate member opposing the third wall. A seal is positioned in the internal cavity and attached to the second wall. The first and/or second walls have a stepped portion at the opening of the internal cavity which decreases a width of the opening by decreasing a distance between the first and second walls near the opening.

Abstract: A sunshade hook is provided which has an improved hook shape configuration that overlaps the rod-shaped member of the sunshade to prevent inadvertent pullout. An access passage is modified and dimensional relationships established between the hook and the sunshade to prevent inadvertent removal. The stem is also modified to increase the perimeter engagement with an opening in the bracket and increase the ability to withstand shearing stress imposed by wind forces.

Abstract: A construction for use in mounting a blind (earlier called a Venetian blind, in the United States) over a wide window, e.g., a window well in excess of 4 feet, where tying to the foundation is awkward. The construction involves a pair of telescoping tubes that are able to span the full width of the window and are anchored at their ends to the supporting structure (i.e., the foundation of the house or other building) with end brackets. The tubes have enough structural stiffness and resistance to twisting to support the blind (vertically) without requiring any mid-span attachment. Hence, there is no need to tie in to the window frame or any metal as been the case in the past, and the warranty of durability of the window manufacturer is not compromised.

The adhesive includes an acrylate polymer, the binder includes ethylene glycol dimethyl acrylate polymer, and the water repellent includes an acrylic acid polymer. The window blind component is a blind slat, the number of the paper fiber sheets in the stack is 20-40, and each of the paper fiber sheets has a thickness ranging from 0.08-0.12 mm.

Abstract: An arched window covering includes a shade mount and a shade mounted on the shade mount. The shade mount has a base, at least a spacer, and two rails. The spacer is provided on the base and its width is adjustable. The rails movably engage the base and touch the spacer that a length of the shade mount is changeable by changing the width of the spacer. Therefore, a size of a shade mounted on the shade mount is changeable by adjusting the spacer rather than cutting the rail to fit the windows with different sizes.

Abstract: An improved cooling system compartment door for a landfill compactor is provided. The door comprises a door frame and a replaceable screen insert. The screen insert is configured so that it can be used in either a left side or right side cooling system compartment door frame. The screen insert can be easily replaced when the screen is damaged or clogged, thereby saving time, materials and expense. The screen insert is particularly suited for use with landfill compactor machines which operate in debris laden environments which can damage the ventilation screens.

Abstract: Novel adjustable panels, systems, and methods are provided. In one aspect, an adjustable panel system can include a first panel, a second panel, and a third panel. The first panel and the second panel can be adjustable to a plurality of adjusted positions with respect to each other in a plurality of fixed increments. The third panel can be adjustably movable with respect to the second panel in increments smaller than the fixed increments. In one aspect, the panels, systems, and methods can be used to provide a portion of a security cage used to house sensitive electrical equipment.

Abstract: A rain shedding accessory for retractable awnings is provided. The rain shedding accessory includes a bow system for coupling between a pair of arm members of an awning structure in a mounting region located beneath an area corresponding to a leading portion of an awning sheet thereof. A bow member of the bow system is aligned generally parallel to a lead member of the awning structure and is upwardly curved to elevate a portion of the awning sheet when the awning is in a deployed configuration to prevent the accumulation of water or debris thereon. Abstract: The invention relates to a screen tensioning system having a mesh screen and a U-shaped channel that engages an edge of the mesh screen. A clamp engages the U-shaped channel and the mesh screen. A frame having a substantially H-shaped cross section, wherein parallel side members converge to define a longitudinal slot permit the mesh screen to extend through the longitudinal slot, yet the clamp remains secured within the frame. A plurality of fasteners secure the clamp to the frame and are tightened to apply varying degrees of local tension to the screen. Preferably, no fasteners are used to secure the screen to the clamp.

Abstract: A tubular gearmotor for curtains, shutters, roller blinds or the like, comprises a support which is suitable for being fixed to a support surface and which receives a head of the tubular gearmotor which can be inserted in an insertion direction substantially coinciding with the axial extension of the gearmotor. The support is provided with means preventing the axial rotation of the head and with releasable-engagement means for preventing axial extraction of the head. The releasable-engagement means comprise locking/fixing members which are circumferentially distributed around the axis for insertion of the head and which are each movable between a first engaging position and a second disengaging position. An actuating member is also provided, said actuating member, when manually operated, performing the displacement of the locking/fixing members between the first and the second position.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for controlling inmates disposed in their cells during emergency situations. The apparatus includes a flexible magnetic cover which can be used by staff as a temporary cover for prison cell door windows. The apparatus may be used to help limit the inmate's visualization of prison emergency responses. Modern prison cell door designs include a cell door window but do not include any means to block this window. The apparatus may include a one-way viewing portion permitting persons outside the cell to look into the cell, but not permitting inmates inside the cell to see outside. The apparatus can be used in other situations, such as on operating room doors, for emergency room door windows, mental hospitals and in other situations where temporary blocking of a window is desirable. The apparatus could be used in any situation where people are confined for safety and security.
