    Abstract: An aircraft mid-cabin divider comprises a double-bulkhead, a vertical wrapping-post within the double-bulkhead, and a wrap-around door having a series of parallel vertical panels flexibly interconnected wherein the first vertical panel is hingeably secured to the vertical wrapping post and a second vertical panel on the substantially opposite end of the door from the first one includes a handle and latch for directing the movement of the tambour door and latching the same about an opposing edge. To be placed in its stowed or open position, the tambour door is rolled backwards around the vertical wrapping-post and drawn between the double bulkheads. A passageway is provided within one of the double-bulkheads through which the door handle may be traversed while the door is inside of the bulkheads.

    Abstract: A projection screen assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a screen which can be lifted into an extended position or lowered into a collapsed configuration for permitting a building in which the screen is installed to be used for other purposes. Lifting means is provided for raising the screen and tensioning it in the vertical direction. Lateral tensioning is effected simultaneously by tensioning elements disposed one adjacent each side edge of the screen. The tensioning elements are coupled to the screen by lateral tensioning members which are of progressively decreasing length in directions extending inwardly from the upper and lower margins of the screen so that the tensioning elements adopt the shape of caternary curves. When the screen is tensioned vertically, these curves are flattened so that the screen is tensioned laterally by the lateral tensioning members.

    Abstract: A combination storm and screen door is disclosed comprising an outer and inner frame, each having the entire configuration of a door, and is composed of totally integral molded plastic. Disposed between the frames along the lateral sides and bottom and top of the door are steel reinforcement beams. The upper portion of the door has an opening and the lower portion has a storage cavity, both defined by the outer and inner frames. A storm window and a screen are slidingly positioned within the door to be lowered within the storage cavity when not in use, and to be raised to the opening when in use. Both the window and screen may be removed for cleaning, repair, or replacement. The outer and inner frames are molded, preferably from a blown or porous insulated type plastic material. Weather stripping is provided and other insulation characteristics are included in the door.

    Abstract: A convertible door structure for hinged mounting in a conventional door frame and including bottom and upper panel portions normally bounded by opposed side stiles and top and bottom cross rails; the lower panel portion is fixed relative to the lower portions of the side stiles and the bottom cross rail. The upper panel portion is hinged along its bottom edge to the top edge of the bottom panel portion in a manner whereby it may be swung from its normal closed position, relative to the top halves of the side stiles and the top cross rail to an open position wherein it overlies the inner face of the bottom panel portion. A pocket or well is defined within the lower panel portion to store a generally conventional type of framed screen unit for selective removal and installation in the opening defined in the upper portion of the door when the upper panel portion is disposed in its down position.

    Abstract: An extensible partition utilizes a hollow rectangular elongated partition for erection in a generally vertical plane having spring loaded devices extending upwardly and downwardly from the uppermost and lowermost marginal edges thereof, a slot, extending vertically along a vertical marginal edge of the apparatus, communicates to the hollowed out cavity portion of the panel, so as to provide access throughout the length of the cavity, extending substantially for the entire length of the panel. A plurality of arms are utilized having one end of each pivotably secured to individual helically wound spring members. In one embodiment, the other end of the helical springs are pivotably secured to an accordion-like pleated member which, when not in use, is stored within the cavity. When the accordion, pleated-like member is withdrawn the arms are positioned horizontally such that the springs are likewise positioned horizontally when they are tensioned, keeping tensioning forces on the pleated-like flexible member.
