Abstract: An arched window covering includes a shade mount and a shade mounted on the shade mount. The shade mount has a base, at least a spacer, and two rails. The spacer is provided on the base and its width is adjustable. The rails movably engage the base and touch the spacer that a length of the shade mount is changeable by changing the width of the spacer. Therefore, a size of a shade mounted on the shade mount is changeable by adjusting the spacer rather than cutting the rail to fit the windows with different sizes.

Abstract: A retractable covering for an arched window including a first and a second panel formed of pliable material. A flap of the first panel overlaps a flap of the second panel. The first and second panels together have a generally arch-shaped upper perimeter adapted to be secured to a support structure and have a generally straight lower perimeter. A retracting mechanism moves the first and second panels between a closed position wherein the arched window is substantially covered and an open position wherein the arched window is substantially uncovered. The retracting mechanism includes a first cord secured to the first panel flap, and a second cord secured to the second panel flap. The retracting mechanism having a first operating state to position the first and second panels in the open position and a second operating state wherein the first and second panels are positioned in the closed. The retracting mechanism further includes a cord guide through which at least a portion of the first and second cords extend.

Abstract: An operating system for a retractable covering for an architectural opening wherein one edge of the covering is fixed and the opposite edge is movable between extended and retracted positions, includes an endless cord loop having a finger slide that is slidably mounted adjacent to the fixed edge of the covering to effect circulation of the cord loop. Also included in the cord loop is an anchor plate secured to the fabric of the covering adjacent to its movable edge, with the anchor plate also moving with circulatory movement of the cord loop to move the movable edge of the covering between extended and retracted positions. The tension in the cord loop is adjustable through the connection of opposite ends of the cord loop to the finger slide and the routing of the cord loop is directed through cord guides of low friction material so that the entire operation of the covering is smooth and reliable.

Each panel has a plurality of foldable sections bundled together at one fixed end and the remainder portion are unfoldable to cover a diagonally opposite triangular half portion of the window opening. Pull cords are provided for folding the sections in a fanfold manner to obtain selectively an opening covering partially or completely the window opening. Abstract: A modular window shade assembly has two embodiments. One includes a frame with a generally arcuate opening containing a blind system with horizontal slats that may be pivoted to control transmission of light through the opening. In the other embodiment, an arcuate portion contains a fixed fan shade within the arcuate opening. In each of the embodiments, the frame is sized and configured to fit within an existing window opening juxtaposed to the window for easy assembly. A decorative molding is provided to be installed within the inner walls of the existing window frame to provide an aesthetic appearance in front of the shade assembly as installed.
