  • Patent number: 6098699
Abstract: The assembly relates to a way of hanging and removing a shower curtain. The curtain eliminates the tedious job of attaching the curtain holders, then taking them off one at a time to remove the curtain when it is time to wash or replace. Bead attachment members can be placed on the curtain and left even during washing. They can be changed to different colors or styles for decorative purposes. The bead attachment members replace the standard ring connectors. They can be manually attached or can be fixed on the curtain. The specially designed shower curtain rod receives the bead attachment members with ease. The telescoping rod is then placed in the U-shaped socket rod holders for easy assembly and disassembly.

Abstract: A shower curtain spacer attaches to the rim of a bathtub or shower stall to hold a shower curtain away from the rim. The spacer includes a clamping mechanism having a first leg portion attached to a second leg portion at a right angle from one another. An adjustable sliding portion, in parallel relation to the second leg portion moves along the first leg portion to secure the device to the bathtub or shower stall rim. A screw locks the adjustable sliding portion in place. An elongated cylindrical bar sets within the tub area and is spaced from an inner surface of the tub when the shower curtain spacer is employed. The elongated bar is removably attached to the clamping mechanism by an intermediate block member including a body portion a pair of fingers for inserting within a pair of apertures in the clamping mechanism and a concave portion for receiving and retaining the elongated bar in a rigid and fixed position.

  • Patent number: 6032306
Abstract: A device for limiting the intrusion of a shower curtain into a shower enclosure includes a clamp portion for releasably engaging the shower curtain rod, and an tail portion depending from the clamp portion for impinging on the shower curtain and urging it outwardly. The clamp includes an inverted U configuration adapted to extend about the curtain rod. The U-configuration includes one leg that is joined integrally to the tail portion, and the other leg is provided with a detent tip. A detent lever extends from the tail portion proximate to the detent tip, and includes an array of closely spaced detent teeth adapted to engage the detent tip. The detent lever is resiliently biased toward the detent tip, so that the tip remains engaged with the teeth unless otherwise disturbed. The two legs of the clamp may be squeezed together to engage the curtain rod frictionally to immobilize the device on the curtain rod, and the device will remain in this disposition until released.

  • Patent number: 5901769
Abstract: An inflatable partition incorporating a three-dimensional inflatable component. The three-dimensional inflatable component may be attached to a sheet which has attachment apertures along its top edge for receiving a plurality of fasteners. Thus, the combination of inflatable component and sheet may be suspended from a support rod. Alternatively, the three-dimensional component may have a sealed border or other structure configured to enable the fasteners to attach directly to the inflatable component. Thus, the inflatable component, alone, may be suspended from a support rod. A plurality of retention devices for holding useful articles may be incorporated on at least one surface of the partition. The partition may incorporate attractive three-dimensional figures. The partition demonstrates increased stiffness when used as a shower curtain. The partition demonstrates an increased sound-deadening/weight ratio, increasing its usefulness as a shower curtain or room partition.
