Pipe Mold Type Forming Means Patents (Class 164/176)
  • Patent number: 7129383
Abstract: A process for the preparation of 2-chloro-1,1,1,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane is disclosed which involves (a) contacting a mixture comprising hydrogen fluoride, chlorine, and at least one starting material selected from the group consisting of halopropenes of the formula CX3CCI?CX2 and halopropanes of the formula the CX3CCIYCX3, wherein each X is independently F or Cl, and Y is H, Cl or F (provided that the number of X and Y which are F totals no more than six) with a chlorofluorination catalyst in a reaction zone to produce a product mixture comprising CF3CCIFCF3, HCI, HF. and underfluorinated halogenated hydrocarbon intermediates. The process is characterized by said chlorofluorination catalyst comprising at least one chromium-containing component selected from (i) a crystalline alpha-chromium oxide where at least 0.

Abstract: Methods for making various nickel based superalloys into engineering components such as rings, tubes and pipes by melting of the alloys in a vacuum or under a low partial pressure of inert gas and subsequent centrifugal casting of the melt in the graphite molds rotating along its own axis under vacuum or low partial pressure of inert gas are provided. The molds have been fabricated by machining high density, high strength ultrafine grained isotropic graphite, wherein the graphite has been made by isostatic pressing or vibrational molding.

  • Publication number: 20020139756
Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating ozone is provided. An ozone generator comprises a substantially transparent element having ozone-generating means mounted on an inner element area and an outer element area. An enclosure is positioned over the element, and an oxygen-containing gas is directed through the inner element area, creating ozone from a portion of the oxygen-containing gas. The ozone and oxygen-containing gas is then redirected over the outer element area, so that the oxygen-containing gas is at least twice exposed to the ozone-generating means, thereby generating additional ozone.

  • Patent number: 5674579
Abstract: The invention relates to a translucent and flexible polyamide-based composition, which is easy to process, in particular by extrusion, comprising: (A) from 50 weight-% to 95 weight-% 1) of at least one polyamide resin (I), 2) of various additives (IV) such as stabilizers, mould-release agents, lubricants, crystallization accelerators, pigments, organic and/or inorganic fillers or dyes, or antioxidizing agents, 3) optionally of at least one plasticizing agent (V), and (B) from 5 weight-% to 50 weight-%: (a) of at least one ethylene-alkyl (meth)acrylate-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride terpolymer (II), (b) of at least one ethylene-alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer (III) with 1/30.ltoreq.(b)/(a).ltoreq.2. In accordance with the present invention, the flexural modulus of the composition, measured according to ISO standard 178, is less than or equal to 2/3 of the flexural modulus of the PA resin (I) alone and is strictly less than 750 MPa.
