    Abstract: A computer security device comprising a processor that is independent of the host CPU for controlling access between the host CPU and the storage device. A program memory that is independent of the computer memory and the storage device unalterably stores and provides computer programs for operating the processor in a manner so as to control access to the storage device. The security device is connected only in line with the data access channel between the host CPU and the storage device, and off the main data and control bus of the host CPU. All data access by the host CPU to the data storage device is blocked before initialization of the security device and is intercepted immediately after the initialization under the control of the processor. The processor effects independent control of the host CPU and configuration of the computer to prevent unauthorized access to the storage device during the interception phase.

    Abstract: A rock picker for use with all terrain vehicles and lawn and garden tractors that has a generally horizontal movable frame with one or more operative wheels secured to the frame. The frame holds a rock holding receptacle that is tiltable for rock dumping. A towing tongue is mounted to the forward end of the frame. Also mounted to the frame in a position such that it can be moved from a rock pick up position to a rock unload position dumping the rocks into the rock holding receptacle is tiltable rock scoop. As the picker is towed forward, the scoop scoops up the rocks and it can be hydraulically activated to dump the rocks into the rock holding receptacle or basket. In turn, the rocks can be dumped from there once carried away from the area from which the rocks are cleared.

    Abstract: A tractor-mounted tree stump puller having articulating components that create a mechanical advantage to remove buried objects or the like from the ground in response to forward movement of the tractor. The implement comprises at least two components pivotally joined to form an articulating structure that shifts from a retracted position to an extended position upon forward movement of the tractor. An articulating structure so formed has a first end pivotally coupled to the tractor, and a second end rigidly attached to a forked structure. Just prior to the removal process, the forked structure is disposed to engage a buried object. With the forked structure engaging a buried object, the tractor moves in a forward direction causing the articulating components to shift from a retracted position to an extended position.

Check chains limit the sideways swinging movement and the most important aspect of the device is that it is not the power of the tractor which is essential, but the hydraulic lift generated by the hitch which is used to roll relatively large rocks from out of the ground.

    Abstract: A root picker includes a main frame supporting within it a triangular picker frame pivoted on the main frame at one apex with a lower and rearwardly positioned apex supporting a picker roller which is rotated to pick stones from the ground. A conveyor chain supporting transverse bars with outwardly extending teeth is pivotally mounted adjacent the third apex of the frame upwardly and rearwardly of the picker roller so that the chain turns around an axis at a position alongside the picker roller to lift rocks between the conveyor chain and the picker roller onto a surface which leads up to a bucket. The frame pivots to lift the conveyor chain and the picker roller away from the ground and also the conveyor chain is pivotal relative to the frame to increase the spacing between the chain and the picker roller. Rotating sweep drums are positioned forwardly and outwardly of the frame to pick and sweep rocks into the picker roller.

    Abstract: Within an agricultural vehicle for harvesting root crops, such as potatoes, a frame is suspended and has its bottom formed by a screen conveyor, its front end carrying a set of plows preceded by pilot wheels which ride respective furrow slices and control the elevation of the frame. The suspension for the frame comprises a pair of cables, one of them extending transversely over two rollers and engaging the rear of the frame at opposite ends while the other rises from a forward part of the frame and is hydraulically tensionable for raising or lowering same. The frame is limited for movement both longitudinally and transversely with reference to the vehicle body, its mobility in any direction being restricted by a pair of rearwardly projecting lateral guide rollers confined between vertical tracks and horizontal abutments; one of these guide rollers has a trapezoidal profile coacting with a similarly shaped track surface while the other guide roller is substantially cylindrical.
