Wheel On Non-propelled Device Patents (Class 172/286)
  • Patent number: 10966364
Abstract: A row unit for a work vehicle includes a row unit frame with a closer frame. The closer frame defines a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The closer frame is supported for rotational movement about a substantially vertical steering axis to vary a turning angle between the longitudinal axis the vehicle longitudinal axis. The row unit includes a closer implement assembly with first and second closer implements and a walking beam construction. The first and second closer implements are attached to opposite areas of the walking beam construction. The walking beam construction is rotationally attached to the closer frame to support rotation of the closer implement assembly about the transverse axis. The first and second closer implements are configured to move ground material into a ground opening from opposites sides as the work vehicle moves across the field.

  • Patent number: 10327375
Abstract: A folding toolbar for an agricultural implement. A unitary flex hinge structure connects adjacent sections of the toolbar and provides a dual pivoting function. The flex hinge pivots about a first pin connected to a first section and is in pivotal connection about a second pin connected to a second section, the first and second pins defining axes that are orthogonal to each other. The unitary flex hinge further includes a lug plate that defines a mid plane along which a force may be applied. The mid plane and the axis of the first pin may be coplanar to reduce bending moments about the flex hinge relative to conventional arrangements where the axis of a hinge pin is offset relative to the plane in which the force is applied. The first pin may be mounted to a hinge mount that is mounted to lug plate for a compact design.

  • Publication number: 20140262376
Abstract: A land roller implement includes a main frame section, two intermediate frame sections extending laterally outward from opposing sides of the main frame section in a trailing relationship therewith in a working position, and a pair of outer frame sections extending laterally outward from respective intermediate frame sections in a leading relationship therewith in the working position. The outer frame sections are coupled to the intermediate frame sections by readily removable outer brace portions to reduce the transport width if required. Inner brace members are coupled between the main frame section and the intermediate frame sections by coupling to the outer brace portions at the outer ends and by pivoting on the main frame section about a floating axis which is coaxial with floating movement of the intermediate frame sections relative to the main frame section.

Abstract: An agricultural implement has front flotation wheels with a significantly increased diameter, increasing flotation and improving rolling characteristics, especially in soft soil conditions. The implement has a frame supported on front and rear wheels. Front flotation wheels are pivotally mounted to the frame about vertical axes. A hitch tongue is pivotally attached to the frame about a vertical hitch pivot axis. A wheel control mechanism connects the front flotation wheels to the hitch tongue, and is configured such that when the hitch tongue is in a neutral position the front flotation wheels roll in the operating direction, and pivoting the hitch tongue causes the front flotation wheels to pivot in the same direction.

  • Publication number: 20130186657
Abstract: A combination is described of a tractor (10) and an implement (12) which is pulled by the tractor (10), by means of a draw bar (14) coupled to the tractor (10) so as to be pivotable about the vertical axis, is supported on the ground by wheels (28) and comprises a cultivating element (30) for cultivating a field (64). A control device (36) is used to activate a first actuator (40) with which the position of the draw bar (14) in relation to the implement (16) can be changed. The control device (36) activates the first actuator (40) in such a manner that the latter adjusts the draw bar (14) with the effect of moving the implement (16) towards an outside of a curve.

  • Patent number: 5641026
Abstract: An agricultural cultivator includes a single elongate tubular tool bar of circular cross section which is split into a center section and two wing sections interconnected with the center section at outer ends thereof through pivot couplings. The center section of the tool bar is mounted on two ground wheels and the outer end of each wing section is mounted on a respective one of a pair of ground wheels. Each ground wheel is connected to the tool bar by a respective brace. The ground wheels are aligned so that there axes of rotation lie on a common line forwardly of the tool bar. The braces are interconnected with a hitch frame for pivotal movement relative to the hitch frame about pivot pins defining a common pivot axis parallel to the tool bar and located between the tool bar and the common line of the ground wheels so that rotation of the braces causes the tool bar to move forwardly while the ground wheels move rearwardly under the toolbar. The rotation of the tool bar through approximately 90.degree.

  • Patent number: 5191942
Abstract: An agricultural frame particularly for transporting active harrow elements and packer elements comprises a central frame section and a pair of wing frames projecting outwardly to the side of the central frame section at right angles thereto. The whole of the frame can be raised and lowered to lift the ground working implements from the ground. Each of the wing frames is rigid and is formed from a front beam and a rear beam interconnected by inclined beams carrying the active harrow elements. Each wing frame includes a steerable wheel at the outside end. Each wing frame is attached to the central frame by a rear pivot member which allows pivotal movement about a forward horizontal axis and also pivotal movement about a vertical axis for movement to the transport position. A latch is provided adjacent the front beam of the wing frame and is defined by a horizontal pin the axis of which defines the horizontal axis of pivotal movement of the wing frame.
