  • Publication number: 20090301367
Abstract: An adjustable row cleaner includes a row cleaner assembly that functions to clear material from the ground surface. The adjustable row cleaner includes, in one embodiment, a connector that is in mechanical communication with both a row cleaner frame, to which row cleaner wheels may be pivotally mounted, and a first end of a translator member. The translator member may pivot with respect to the row unit frame and/or row unit sub-frame about a translator member pivot. The position of a translator member second end may be manipulated, thereby adjusting the maximum depth to which the row cleaner wheels penetrate the ground surface. The adjustable row cleaner may be powered or manually adjusted, and the position of the row cleaner wheels may be monitored and automatically adjusted via a control system.

  • Patent number: 5002453
Abstract: A green cores collecting apparatus attachable to the rear portion of a corer vehicle comprising a housing provided with a upper laterally extending rotary shaft, a lower laterally extending rotary shaft arranged in parallel with the upper rotary shaft and a rotary elevator located between the upper and lower rotary shaft, the housing being backwardly tilted, and being further provided with a dirt ejecting aperture at its upper rear portion and a soil receiving aperture at its lower front portion, an engine being attached to the housing for driving the rotary elevator and a pair of fitting arms being rotatably fitted to lateral sides of the housing by a pair of shafts so that the fitting arms project forward and at least one of the shafts is removable. Since the fitting arms are securely fitted to the lateral sides of the green corer vehicle locking bolts, the rotary elevator automatically starts its operation as soon as the engine is started.

  • Patent number: 4899829
Abstract: Apparatus for making a substrate for forest cultivation, which apparatus is designed to be drawn as a trailer behind a tractor or some comparable vehicle and most suitably has one wheel on each side of the trailer, the tracks of the wheels being essentially the same as those of the drawing vehicle and the trailer being also provided with a container for earth or comparable material, at the bottom of which container there is an opening through which the earth flows down on a conveyor unit arranged under the container. In present-day forest cultivation the tree plants are usually planted in unprepared soil. As a result, other vegetation deprives the trees of some of their vegetative power.

  • Patent number: 4505096
Abstract: The machine is attached to a standard tractor, and has a pair of sweeping rotors driven by an hydraulic system. The rotors are mounted on a pair of booms, respectively, pivotally connected to a structure carried by the tractor so that the booms can be swung laterally to selected positions determining the width of the path of operation. The weight of the rotors, and of the rear portions of the booms, is carried on skid discs forming part of each rotor.

  • Patent number: 4359100
Abstract: In an attachment combination for agricultural tractors used for loosening soil in a field covered with living or dead plants or crop residue, a covering hood forms an ejection channel with a motor driven flail mower positioned under the hood. A support tube is located behind the mower and it carries at least one row of loosening elements. Motor driven rotatable tools are located rearwardly of the loosening elements. The flail mower hood can discharge in a first position where the material is directed downwardly and rearwardly in front of the support tube or in a second position where the material is directed behind the loosening elements and the rotatable tools. The mower is mounted on a rearwardly open U-shaped support frame consisting of a cross beam and two laterally spaced longitudinal beams extending perpendicularly of the cross beam. A coupling piece is located on the free end of each longitudinal beam with a counterpiece clamped on the support tube.
