Laterally Spaced Fenders For Inwardly Thrown Earth Patents (Class 172/513)
  • Patent number: 5316088
Abstract: The present invention is a mounting device for individually mounting rotary hoes on the shanks of row crop cultivators. The tractor pulls shanks through the fields to cultivate the soil with rotary hoes connected to the shanks by a mounting device. The mounting device includes a portion which clamps to the shanks and a portion which is pivotally connected to the clamping portion and extends to a rotatably mounted rotary hoe. The hoe may float over irregular surfaces of the ground to penetrate and dig up the soil. The rotary hoes may be biased by a spring to maintain a relatively constant ground depth, and they may include stops to limit their forward movement, backward movement, or both.

  • Patent number: 4715449
Abstract: A crop sheild is connected to the aft ends of a pair of parallel links by a bracket assembly which can pivot to permit the shield to dump trash. The bracket assembly is pivotally connected to the aft end of the lower link and includes a slot slidably received on a pin located on the aft end of the upper link to maintain the links in a generally parallel relationship. The weight of the shield normally biases the shield to a horizontal field-working position with the end of the slot stopped against the pin. When trash builds up, the shield pivots with respect to the lower link and the slot slides over the pin as the shield moves up against the bias over the trash. Dump forces are reduced since the shields pivot independently of the parallel links.

  • Patent number: 4552225
Abstract: A deep shield for cultivating is disclosed, comprised of an elongated horizontal bar, fastened at its forward end by adaptors to any make of cultivator, whose rearward end supports a vertical parallel linkage, extending downward to another horizontal bar supporting a pair of panels approximately 16 inches in depth, having a large outward flair on their forward end. Pivotal points on parallel linkage are positioned and formed for maximum stability, flexible enough to allow backward movement if an obstruction is encountered, backward and upward movement of flex arms allows for easy height adjustment by solidly attaching two irons to lower support so they extend vertically past the upper support bar. By using a pin member through aligned holes in vertical irons, height changes may be easily established.

  • Patent number: 4213505
Abstract: A tractor implement carrying apparatus for use with a farm tractor and for supporting farm implements which can be a rolling shield, high speed sliding shield, disc, or other similar farm implements. An adjustable bushing support member is attached to the lower end of a mounting member to support a pin permitting transverse adjustment of a drawbar pivotally supported on the pin. An implement attaching bracket having opposing transversely adjustable and downwardly extending arms attaches to a longitudinal slot in the drawbar which provides for lateral adjustment of the implement attaching bracket. Opposing tool adjustment brackets are suitably affixed to the lower ends of the opposing transversely adjustable downwardly extending arms for attachment of farm implements.
