Disks Pivoted On Vertical Axes With Interconnected Means For Moving Them Indentically Patents (Class 172/569)
  • Patent number: 11140804
Abstract: An angle adjustable coulter wheel assembly includes a rotatable shank having a longitudinal axis defined by an upper portion of the shank. The longitudinal axis is oriented neither vertically or horizontally with respect to the ground when the assembly is mounted on a tillage apparatus. A coulter wheel rotatably mounted on the shank proximate a lower portion of the shank. An actuator rotates the upper portion of the shank about the longitudinal axis to cause the face of the coulter wheel to rotate about three orthogonal axes thereby changing orientation of the face of the coulter wheel with respect to the ground when the assembly is on the tillage apparatus. The coulter wheel assembly permits adjusting the angle of the coulter wheel in at least two planes permitting greater control over how much soil the coulter wheel disturbs during tilling.

  • Patent number: 10609853
Abstract: A gang assembly of a tillage implement has disc blades suspended from a support bar with a disc hanger assembly. A disc adjustment mechanism is configured to pivotably attach the disc hanger assembly for each of the plurality of disc blades to the support bar. The disc adjustment mechanism includes a pivot mount for each of the plurality of disc blades. Each pivot mount has a pivot configured to pivot the pivot mount, a first arm connected to the disc hanger assembly, and a crank arm. A shuttle is attached to the crank arms and causes each pivot mount to pivot and adjust the disc angle of the associated disc blade. The disc hanger assembly is configured to position the disc blade such that a vertical center line of the disc blade extends through the pivot point of the pivot.

  • Patent number: 9398738
Abstract: The invention refers to a soil cultivation implement with two tool rows of hollow discs of a first hollow discs row and of a second hollow discs row. One hollow disc in the first hollow discs row is positioned slightly offset to the rear. In the second hollow discs row there is a hollow disc in a position offset to the front. In order to prevent lateral pull with a soil cultivation implement of this type the hollow discs rows were positioned relatively symmetrically and were offset where the hollow discs point towards each other with their convex sides or with their concave sides. This offset has the effect of optimizing the soil flow and prevents components colliding with each other. This ensures even cultivation over the whole working width of the implement, including in the area of greater working depths with hollow discs that have a larger diameter.

  • Patent number: 9398737
Abstract: The invention refers to a soil cultivation implement with two successively and obliquely positioned frame parts, on which hollow discs on separately rotating bearings are positioned in parallel. Hollow discs of one frame part point in the direction of working with the concave sides obliquely to the front and the outside. Hollow discs of the other frame part point in the direction of working with the concave sides obliquely to the front and the center. The chords of the concave sides of the hollow discs are positioned to form an obtuse angle with the surface of the soil. The respective two hollow discs in the middle section that point towards each other with their concave sides or their convex sides are constructed so that in each case one of these hollow discs has a smaller diameter and is positioned in the direction of working offset towards the adjacent hollow discs.

  • Publication number: 20150053439
Abstract: A tillage implement has a main frame provided with ground-engaging wheels that support the main frame at a selected height above the ground. Tillage shanks may be provided on the main frame and, if so, have their depth of penetration into the ground determined by the selected height of the main frame. Gangs of freely rotatable circular blades are carried on the main frame for both fore-and-aft angle adjustment relative to the main frame about respective upright pivot axes and up-and-down depth adjustment relative to the main frame about respective horizontal pivot axes. Such angle and/or depth adjustments can be carried out on-the-go from the tractor seat and without raising or lowering the main frame such that if tillage shanks are provided on the main frame, the working depth of the tillage shanks can remain unchanged as the gangs are adjusted.

Abstract: A disc tiller soil working machine includes a chassis equipped with tillage implements having at least one front train and one rear train consisting of non-driven rotating discs, each disc or train of discs being independently coupled via a safety device to a support such as a beam shared by the assembly of discs of the train of discs. Each safety device permits the withdrawal of the disc or group of discs. Each disc of a train of discs is, when coupled to its support, rotationally driven about an axis that, together with the longitudinal axis of the support, forms an angle ? ranging from 3° to 40°. Each support is mounted on the chassis while being able to pivot about a vertical axis in a manner that permits the opening angle of the assembly of discs of the train of discs to be adjusted within a predetermined angular range.
