Reversible Part Patents (Class 172/702)
  • Patent number: 8191288
Abstract: Disclosed herein are various aspects of an improved snow or material pushers for use with loaders, backhoes, agricultural and larger home and garden tractors and the like for moving snow or other materials on generally flat areas such as parking lots, driveways, feed lots, runways, and loading areas. The improvements include, among others, a reversible design, extended side plates and/or wear shoes as well as improved scraping edge configurations so as to provide added functionality and versatility to pushers. As described the various features may be employed alone or in combination to provide the capability for snow and ice removal while minimizing the potential for damage to surfaces and objects thereon.

  • Patent number: 5248000
Abstract: A harrowing device for harrowing a ground surface includes a haulable frame. A plurality of blade holders are secured to the frame, and extend downward from the frame. The blade holder has a cavity, a pair of holes, a pair of inclined interior face in the cavity. The inclined interior faces are arranged so as to become close to each other the further away from the holes. A plurality of blades are fitted to the blade holder, each blade having a shank inserted into the cavity and a blade portion for harrowing the ground. The shank has a pair of holes corresponding to the holes of the blade holder, and a protrusion for contacting the inclined interior faces. A pin is inserted into the holes of the blade holder and the shank to pivotably support the blade.

  • Patent number: 4203494
Abstract: A reversible mounting assembly for pivotally mounting a ground tool and a coulter disk from the tool bar of a soil tilling implement. The mounting assembly has a base plate that is reversibly attachable against the under surface of the tool bar in either of two positions, elongated frame members fixed to and extended longitudinally of the base plate such that in one base plate position, projected portions of the frame members are located to the front of the tool bar and in the other base plate position are located to the rear of the tool bar. A tool support member is pivotally connectible to the projected portions of the frame members and includes a first socket portion at one end to receive a shank member of the tool and a second socket portion at an opposite end to receive a shank section of the coulter disk. A yieldable pressure assembly acts on the tool support member to normally maintain the tool and the disk in operative positions therefor.

  • Patent number: 4178999
Abstract: A reversible mounting bracket for releasably securing a tool to the tool bar of a soil tilling farm implement so that the tool may be readily removed or replaced when desired. The mounting bracket has a base plate adapted to be rigidly attached to the underside of the tool bar by U-bolts. A pair of transversely spaced longitudinally extended upright tool support arms are fixed to the lower surface of the base plate so as to extend in a direction parallel to the direction of travel of the implement. Disposed along the lower portions of each pair of support arms is a tubular socket that is open at the forward and rear end thereof so that the shank portion of the tool may be inserted through either end for securement in the socket by a pin connection.

  • Patent number: 3984929
Abstract: A loader bucket comprises a bottom wall having an elongated general purpose edge disposed forwardly thereon. A cutting edge is bolted onto an underside of the general purpose edge along with a plurality of laterally spaced adapters. A plurality of U-shaped notches are formed on a forward edge of the cutting edge and each notch receives a like-shaped lower portion of an adapter therein. Each adapter has a hardened earthworking tip detachably mounted thereon by a pin. In a first embodiment of this invention, the cutting edge is reversible and has a plurality of such notches formed on both the forward and rearward edges thereof whereas in a second embodiment of this invention such notches are solely formed on the forward edge of the cutting edge.
