Scraper Position Automatically Controlled By Linkage For Levelling Patents (Class 172/779)
  • Patent number: 8931572
Abstract: A work machine includes a vehicle body, a blade supported by the vehicle body, a pair of first hydraulic cylinders, a pair of second hydraulic cylinders, a pair of lift stroke sensors and a control unit. The first hydraulic cylinders are configured to lower and raise the blade. The second hydraulic cylinders are configured to tilt the blade forward and backward and left and right. The lift stroke sensors are configured to detect stroke amounts from the pair of first hydraulic cylinders, respectively. The control unit is configured to start actuating the pair of second hydraulic cylinders when the stroke amounts of the pair of first hydraulic cylinders match. The control unit is configured to stop actuating the pair of second hydraulic cylinders based on a magnitude relation between a prescribed threshold and a difference in the stroke amounts of the pair of first hydraulic cylinders.

  • Patent number: 8083005
Abstract: A land leveling device for leveling uneven surfaces. The land leveling device generally includes a frame adapted to be removably attached to a tractor. The frame will generally include a rear support, a first side support extending in a forward direction from a first end of the rear support and a second side support extending parallel to the first side support from a second end of the rear support. A central rod will preferably extend forward from a central point on the rear support parallel to and between the first side support and second side support. A pair of leveling members are each fixedly attached to the side supports at their respective ends and pivotally attached to the central rod. As the land leveling device passes over terrain, the leveling members automatically pivot about the central rod to adjust for uneven surfaces.

  • Patent number: 8078297
Abstract: An operator controllable machine is retrofitted to be operator controlled or to be automatically controlled. An electrical joystick output is provided by a manually actuated joystick control, including a joystick, to a machine control in the manually controlled machine. An interface is added between the joystick control and the machine control to permit an external source, such as a GPS receiver or a laser receiver, to apply an electrical automatic control output to the machine control, as well. The interface includes a number of optical isolation circuits and a microprocessor. The isolated microprocessor output is supplied to the machine control, which produces valve control signals to control the hydraulic valves of the machine. The application of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinders of the machine is then controlled by either the joystick control output or the automatic control output.

  • Patent number: 4019268
Abstract: This invention is directed to an apparatus for compacting snow for skiing and snowmobiling. It includes an elongated snow compacting member with means which permit its ends to move upwardly and downwardly so that when one end contacts an elevated snow surface that end automatically moves upwardly to substantially equalize the p.s.i. exerted by the snow compacting member against the snow which is being compacted. It also includes snow compacting wings which extend outwardly from and are pivotally secured to the central snow compacting section of the snow compactor and power means for rotating the wings upwardly. The outer ends of the wings are secured to the inner ends by shear bolts or pins so that when an outer end contacts a rigid object it falls away and is not damaged. Means is provided for adjusting the angle of attack of the bottom wall of the snow compacting element to the surface of the snow to vary the pressure exerted upon it.
