Indicator Mechanism Patents (Class 177/186)
  • Patent number: 8242388
Abstract: A scale includes a stationary bracket, a movable bracket, a linear displacement sensor and a plurality of the resilient mechanisms. The movable bracket is disposed opposite to the stationary bracket. The linear displacement sensor is disposed between the stationary bracket and the movable bracket. The resilient mechanisms are disposed between the stationary bracket and the movable bracket. Each resilient mechanism includes a limiting shaft, a sleeve movably sleeved on the limiting shaft and a resilient member received in the sleeve. The limiting shaft is fixed to one of the stationary bracket or the movable bracket, and the sleeve is fixed to the other. The resilient member is elastically deformed by resisting a free end of the limiting shaft. The linear displacement sensor registers a displacement of the movable bracket.

  • Patent number: 7129426
Abstract: A weight scale with hybrid graduation includes an elastic element, a carrier mounted to the lower end of the elastic element, an indicator block mounted between the elastic element and the carrier, and a graduated housing for receiving the elastic element and the indicator block. The indicator block includes at least one auxiliary graduation. The graduated housing includes at least one primary graduation having a unit different from that of the auxiliary graduation. A weight of an object attached to the carrier is measured through vertical relative movement between the primary graduation and the auxiliary graduation to provide more accurate measuring result.

  • Patent number: 5731548
Abstract: A big dial platform scale includes a scale base. A weight sensing apparatus is supported on the base including a weight supporting platform movable relative to the base and a weight sensing mechanism responsive to movement of the platform for moving a beam. A weight indicating apparatus is supported on the base for rotation relative thereto for indicating weight on the platform. A pinion is operatively connected to the weight indicating apparatus for rotating the weight indicating apparatus. A rack is movably supported on the base and operatively engages the pinion for rotating the same. A spring rope is connected between the beam and the rack for transferring movement of the beam to the rack to drive the weight indicating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5721398
Abstract: An overload protection device for a precision balance includes a measuring cell having a short travel distance, a parallel guide unit connected to a load receiving unit, and an auxiliary parallel guide unit whose guide members are connected to the load receiving unit, on the one hand, and to a weighing dish carrier member, on the other hand, wherein the guide members of the auxiliary parallel guide unit are pretensioned by at least one spring and form a rigid unit with the load receiving unit within the loading range of the balance. The auxiliary parallel guide unit includes an upper guide member and a lower guide member, wherein the two ends of the guide members of the auxiliary parallel guide unit on the side of the weighing dish are connected to each other by at least one guide bolt fastened to the upper guide member and the lower guide member. The guide bolt extends with play through a support plate which is fixedly connected to the load receiving unit of the measuring cell.

  • Patent number: 4778016
Abstract: A load is applied simultaneously to a plurality of load cells having mutually different optimal weighing ranges and connected to each other, so that load data are obtained individually from such load cells. The data of the weighed load are processed for prevention of display blinking, and the output of the load cell selected with respect to a predetermined switchover point on the basis of the processed load data is displayed, whereby the data once displayed is kept free from blinking to eventually realize a stable display state.

  • Patent number: 4359716
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sensing air pressure in pneumatic suspension units for a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, comprising: air pressure sensors capable of sensing air pressures in pneumatic suspension units to generate an output signal when the air pressures are below a predetermined level; a vehicle speed sensor capable of sensing vehicle speed to generate an output signal when the vehicle speed exceeds a predetermined level; a signal processor adapted to receive output signals from the pressure sensors and the vehicle speed sensor and generate an output when the air pressures in the pneumatic suspension units are below a predetermined level while the vehicle speed continues to be in excess of a predetermined level for more than a predetermined period of time. An indicating device produces an indicating signal when it receives an output signal from the signal processor.

  • Patent number: 4039035
Abstract: A weighing balance comprises an anti-shock device arranged in the mechanical linkage between an object receiving plate and a rack and pinion driving an indicating member, to protect the teeth of the rack and pinion when the receiving plate is abruptly loaded or unloaded. The anti-shock device consists of a transmission lever articulated on the rack and held by a spring to transmit translational movement of the receiving plate in normal use, said spring giving way to allow pivoting of the transmission lever in the case of an abnormal shock on the receiving plate.
