Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a beamer board for measuring length and comparing weight of two identical objects including fishes. The beamer board acting as a culling system comprises an elongated beam, a first attachment, a slot and a pair of notches. The elongated beam comprises several measurement marks along a length direction for measuring a length of the fishes. The first attachment extending from the beam acts as a starting point for measuring the length. The slot is provided at center for hanging the beam on a holder. The slot act as a fulcrum balance point for balancing the beam. The pair of notches is configured for hanging the objects for comparing the weight of the fishes. The fishes are hanged on the pair of notches using any cull markers available in the markets.
Abstract: A portable scale is provided that includes a fulcrum, a balance beam pivotally mounted on the fulcrum, the balance beam supporting a load pan on one end and including an elongated portion having a measurement strip extending along the elongated portion of the balance beam. The portable scale includes a dynamic weight movable along the elongated portion of the balance beam. The dynamic weight includes a display unit on the elongated portion of the balance beam for detecting the location of the dynamic weight along the measurement strip, for electrically converting the location to a weight measurement, and for displaying the weight measurement. The portable scale may include luminescent material.
Abstract: A balance beam type scale which is particularly adapted for educational purposes, i.e. for use by grammar school children. The components of the scale are easily assembled. Also, the scale is so constructed and arranged as to permit the weighing of a solid article, granulated materials or a liquid. Although the scale is ruggedly constructed for use by children, it includes features which have heretofore only been found in more expensive scales, for example a check lever.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of this invention is a heavy duty balance particularly adapted to comparative weight denier tubes produced in synthetic fiber plants. This weighing device includes a locking feature for use during loading and unloading of the tubes, an easy to ready comparative weight indicator, and a finger tip zero adjustment.
