Abstract: An electronic scale integrally formed within the housing of computer keyboard. The scale includes an item holder which may be removably attached to a weighing unit mounted in a clearance region located at a rear portion of the keyboard housing. In operation, the weighing unit outputs weight measurement signals along signal lines to one of a variety of processing and/or display devices so that, for example, postage for the item being weighed may be calculated. The electronic scale may also be incorporated within a housing having an attachment device for removably or permanently attaching the housing to any surface desired.

Abstract: Apparatus for processing materials including a receptacle for containing and processing fluid materials such as animal feed. A frame supports the receptacle on a base surface. A weighing mechanism supports the frame and includes at least one member yieldable proportionally in response to the weight of materials contained in the receptacle. An arm connected to the yieldable member is movable in response to its movement. An enclosed collapsible container or bellows having circumferentially corrugated cylindrically-shaped sidewalls and first and second closed ends has a first end being supported by a fixed support. The second end is aligned with, and movable in response to, movement of the arm. A conduit in fluid flow communication with the interior of the collapsible container is at its other end visually transparent, vertically aligned, open to the atmosphere, and contains a liquid.

Abstract: A torque bar suspension scale having a platform for supporting objects to be weighed and a pair of torque bars with each torque bar being disposed at an opposite end of the platform. Strap assemblies are connected to the platform, the torque bars and a frame whereby the torque bars are rotated in response to a weight being disposed on the platform. Each strap assembly comprises a strap having a rectangularly shaped cross section.

Abstract: Scales of the type comprised of a base carrying a weighing platform, a lever system with a weighing spring being interposed between said base and said platform, wherein the lower end of said spring is flattened and urges against said base, and the upper end of said spring is threaded through a cover, said lever system being tied to said cover so that said spring can be calibrated by screwing more or less said spring through said cover.

Abstract: The invention concerns a balance provided with a load support, load compensating means and a lever system mounted between the load support and the load compensating means. The lever system comprises four equally long and identically designed three-knife load levers connected with the load compensating means by at least one intermediate lever, each of the four load levers being allocated to one out of four equally designed supporting points of a knife bearing body of the same intermediate lever.
