  • Patent number: 7100732
Abstract: A hydraulic drive system includes a pair of hydraulic drive motors connected in series. Each motor includes a hydraulic circuit with a spring-biased directional control valve and a pair of check valves. The circuits are located in the end cover for each motor, and are in fluid communication with the respective motor and with each other. The circuits are responsive to the pressure differential across the motors, due to the load and direction of the vehicle, and direct flow to one wheel or the other. Flow is directed to the inside motor when accelerating and/or climbing, while the outside motor is allowed to turn freely to compensate for the different turning radius. This reverses when the vehicle is going downhill and/or decelerating, when the motors are braking. If the drive wheel loses traction, the flow and pressure shifts to the other wheel (or to both wheels), until traction is regained.

The steering-wheel speed change device in turn includes a non-stepwise speed change unit and a planetary differential unit. Drive power from the main-transmission device is inputted into a first element of the planetary differential unit, and output of the non-stepwise speed change unit is inputted into a second element of the planetary differential unit, while steering-wheel drive power is taken off from a third element of the planetary differential unit. Also, the speed of the output of the non-stepwise speed change unit is changed according to the steering angle of the steering wheels.

Abstract: The invention provides a hydraulically driven vehicle which can reduce a tire slip on a low friction road surface such as a soft road surface, an oversnow road surface or the like and has an excellent work ability in a narrow space. The invention relates to a hydraulically driven vehicle having a hydraulic motor (2) driven by a pressure oil discharged from a hydraulic pump (1) and supplied to the hydraulic motor (2), and traveling by driving the hydraulic motor (2). A maximum driving force of the hydraulic motor (2) is set changeable. The hydraulic motor (2) is a variable displacement hydraulic motor. A maximum driving force is adjusted by electrically controlling a maximum tilt angle of the hydraulic motor (2). A minimum displacement value of the hydraulic motor (2) can be changed by electrically controlling a minimum tilt angle of the hydraulic motor (2).

  • Patent number: 6808036
Abstract: An electronic anti-skid device for motor vehicles with hydrostatic transmission has at least one sensor for the transmission of data pertaining to the output of the hydrostatic transmission, a steering angle detector and an electronic computer. The electronic computer uses data from the sensor to calculate theoretical power output of the hydraulic motors of the driver wheels of the vehicles and, thus, the theoretical speed of the wheels. The electronic computer is programmed to scan the detectors at very rapid intervals, and to adjust, on each scan, hydraulic output from output regulators. The output regulators have electrical controllers and are coupled to each hydraulic motor of a driven wheel way as to limit the power from each regulator to a value marginally above the theoretical output for the motor of the wheel to which the power regulator is connected.
