Having Lazy Tong Extending Means Patents (Class 182/69.1)
  • Patent number: 10829355
Abstract: A lift device includes a chassis, a platform disposed above the chassis, a lift assembly coupling the platform to the chassis and configured to move the platform between a lowered position and a raised position, and a stair assembly coupled to at least one of the platform and the chassis, the stair assembly including a first step and a second step. The platform includes a deck defining a top surface configured to support an operator. The stair assembly is selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between a stored position and a deployed position. The stair assembly facilitates access to the deck from the ground when in the deployed position.

  • Patent number: 6883641
Abstract: A ground-movable load-lifting vehicle for lifting a load over ground. The vehicle comprises a platform bed, a ground-movable carriage, and an extendible scissor linkage assembly supporting the platform bed spacedly over the carriage. A hydraulic ram system enables power extension of the scissor linkage assembly against the bias of a load supported by said platform bed. The carriage further includes peripheral ground-engageable pivotal casters, rotatably mounted to the carriage in spaced apart fashion, and a pair of ground-engageable drive wheel assemblies, mounted for relative movement to a central portion of the carriage, wherein the drive wheel assemblies provide omnidirectional displacement capability for this load-lifting vehicle. A power unit, controlled by an electronic circuit, powers both the hydraulic rams of the scissor linkage assembly and the drive wheel assemblies.

  • Patent number: 6698371
Abstract: The apparatus is a boat with a device for lifting a worker up to a location under bridges for maintenance or inspection. The preferred embodiment of the invention is an outboard motor propelled catamaran with a scissors type lift elevator or aerial boom located approximately in the center of the boat. One or more outrigger pontoons that are partially filled with water stabilize the boat, and the pontoons are pivoted back aboard the boat and emptied for over the road transport of the boat.

  • Patent number: 6595322
Abstract: A working platform assembly, includes a platform, and a scissor-type mechanism for extending and retracting the platform. The scissor-type mechanism has a plurality of superimposed pairs of arm members, thereby defining a lower first pair of arm members and at least one further second pair of arm members being positioned thereabove. The arm members of the first and second pairs of arm members have a cross section which decreases in upward direction, wherein the second pair of arm members has an upper end and includes an inner side formed with an outwardly directed slope which is realized by attaching the upper end of the arm members at a slanted angle.

  • Patent number: 6571913
Abstract: A multipurpose machine is provided with independently operable scissors lift functionality and fork lift functionality enabling the machine to perform a number of tasks such as moving personnel and tools, lifting loads, fetching parts, and easy access to equipment/material while working at heights. The machine includes a base, a platform lift mechanism defining a scissors lift secured to the base, and a platform supported by the scissors lift. A fork lifting mechanism secured to the base includes a mast assembly and lifting forks coupled with the mast assembly. The base is preferably fitted with wheels mounted on respective axles, one of which may be an oscillating axle to increase the mobility of the machine. The independent operability of a scissors lift and fork lifting mechanism in a single multipurpose machine provides versatility for numerous applications.

  • Patent number: 6276489
Abstract: A flanged link cross tube (1) for use in pivotal connections of beams (10) that locates weld roots (5) to the outer mating surface of beam (10) and flange (4). As the beams (10) rotate about a pivot connection, high torque loading occurs along the common plane (Z) between adjacent beams (10). Locating weld roots (5) on the outer mating surface of beams (10) and flanges (4) reduces loading on weld roots (5) and extends the useful life of a scissors lift (20).
