  • Patent number: 11698127
Abstract: A planetary gearbox includes a planet carrier, with a planetary gear rotatably disposed on the planet carrier, and a gear that meshes with the planetary gear, as well as a gas turbine engine having such a planetary gearbox. The planet carrier has an oil supply installation including a supply line for oil to an opening. The oil is directed out of the opening in the direction of the planetary gear and/or the gear. The oil supply installation in relation to a primary rotating direction of the planetary gear and/or the gear in front of the opening includes a shielding region which protrudes from an external side of the oil supply installation and which by way of the external side of the oil supply installation on a side that faces the primary rotating direction of the planetary gear and/or the gear, delimits an oil collection groove.

  • Patent number: 10590948
Abstract: The present invention provides an adapter device for attaching a cooling fan to a motor in a cooling fan module for an automotive cooling system. The device includes a connection member for rotationally fixed connection with a rotor of the motor. The rotor is surrounded by a stator comprising windings or coils arranged annularly about the rotor. The connection member is separate from the rotor and is configured for insertion into a central aperture or opening of the rotor for connection thereto via an outer surface of the connection member. An attachment member is provided at an end region of the connection member for attachment of a cooling fan thereto. The adapter device is configured to accommodate at least one bearing which supports the rotor for rotation about a rotational axis.

  • Patent number: 9790825
Abstract: A lubricant assembly that is configured as part of a lubricating system that flings, or slings, fluid lubricants about the interior of compressors. In one embodiment, the lubricant assembly includes a lubricant guide member with a body member that has a pair of peripheral side members with angled surfaces. The construction is amenable to more consistent fabrication constraints (e.g., tolerances), as well as to offer features that can improve operation of the lubricating system, e.g., as operative in the compressors. In use, the lubricant guide member is disposed transverse to a longitudinal axis of a shaft that is configured to rotate a slinger member to fling the lubricant. This configuration captures lubricant that falls downwardly from other parts of the compressors. The angled surfaces of the side members direct this captured lubricant toward the shaft, and other rotating components, of the lubricating system.

Abstract: A transmission has a float level sensor in a fluid sump of the transmission case. A shield having a first panel and a second panel connected to and generally perpendicular with the first panel. The first panel cooperates with a first wall of the transmission case in the sump. The second panel cooperates with a second wall and a bottom wall of the transmission case in the sump. The first and second panels are adapted to cooperate with the first wall, the second wall, and the bottom wall of the transmission case to form a generally stagnant well within the fluid sump surrounding the fluid level sensor to decrease fluid motion adjacent to the sensor. The generally stagnant well and the sump are in fluid communication with one another.

  • Patent number: 8162636
Abstract: A scroll type compressor has a fixed scroll member, a movable scroll member, an oil reservoir, a back-pressure chamber, an oil extraction passage, a flow passage, and a partition wall. The back-pressure chamber disposed behind the movable scroll member is in communication with a discharge chamber. The oil extraction passage having a regulating valve or a throttle connects the back-pressure chamber to the oil reservoir. The oil return passage and the flow passage connect the oil reservoir to a suction chamber, respectively. The flow passage introduces excess lubricating oil into the suction chamber when the level of lubricating oil in the oil reservoir becomes higher than a predetermined level. The partition wall disposed between the openings of the oil extraction passage for restricting lubricating oil from the oil extraction passage other than the excess lubricating oil collected in the oil reservoir from flowing to the flow passage.

  • Patent number: 8024859
Abstract: A replacement oil pump plate for attachment to an original equipment manufacture oil pump within a transfer case for elimination of mechanical wear by replacing the abrasive aluminum tabs formed on the oil pump with low-friction plastic tabs is disclosed. The present plastic tab design redistributes the surface-to-surface contact between the magnesium transfer case and the aluminum pump tabs away from the original wear points so that any necessary weld repairs to the transfer case will not be disturbed. The present replacement pump plate is provided in a kit format including a pump plate, machine screws, plastic tabs, and installation instructions. The present invention also describes a method of installing the pump plate kit on the original equipment manufacture oil pump subassembly.

  • Publication number: 20090120721
Abstract: An anti-leakage device for an oily bearing includes a base, a wearing piece, a fastener, a bearing, a spindle and a fan wheel. The base provides an axial barrel. The wearing piece, the fastener, the bearing and the spindle are received in the axial barrel. An oil removing disk is attached to an inner side of the fan wheel and provides a conical shell with a conical hole being enclosed with the conical shell such that the oil removing disk is capable of collecting lubrication oil with centrifugal force and the lubrication oil collected by the oil removing disk passes through the conical hole to allow the lubrication oil flowing outward the oil removing disk being forced to move back to the axial barrel.

  • Patent number: 6948606
Abstract: A transmission has an oil drain passage for connecting an oil reservoir with a mission case in a pump casing. The automatic transmission has also a retainer serving as a shielding member to shield between a discharge opening of the oil drain passage from at least part of a multistage transmission mechanism. This ensures that breather oil blow, which is caused by the spattering and stirring of operating oil by the high-speed drum member, is shielded from at least part of the transmission mechanism.
