  • Patent number: 7168683
Abstract: A drain valve to be used with numerous drain applications, such as draining fluid from an engine, includes in an exemplary embodiment a valve body, an o-ring and a cap. In another exemplary embodiment, the drain valve includes a valve body, an o-ring, a cap retainer and a cap. The drain valve eliminates the need for a tool, such as a wrench, to drain the fluid from the engine, for example. The drain valve includes a push-pull or a twist-and-pull cap feature to manipulate the valve; however, the drain cap remains on the drain valve and therefore cannot be lost or misplaced. Moreover, the drain valve includes a drain cap that is rotatable to direct the fluid flow out the valve and also provides an easy grip for opening and closing the valve.

  • Patent number: 6896103
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for depositing a flowable medium, in particular lubricating oil, onto a workpiece (16). The device (10) has a base body (13) having a duct (14a) for supplying the lubricating oil, the duct (14a) ending in a cavity (14d). The cavity (14d) is covered by a mask (15) having an opening. The opening of the mask (15) is closed by a hard metal sphere (11) which is prestressed into this closure position by a spring (12). When contact is made with a workpiece the sphere is pressed into the cavity (14d) and thereby opens up the opening in the mask (15) for the discharge of lubricating oil.

  • Patent number: 6863158
Abstract: Oil filling structure of pneumatic tool, including an airflow way formed in the main body for conducting high pressure air into a pneumatic cylinder disposed in the pneumatic tool. An air intake switch is connected with the airflow way for controlling opening/closing of the airflow way. An oil filling hole is disposed in air intake switch. When the switch is positioned in a close position, a lubricant can be filled into the oil filling hole to flow into the airflow way. The high pressure air can entrain the lubricant in the airflow way into the cylinder to lubricate and clean the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6679352
Abstract: A gravity dispensing flow lubricator for a drive chain operated vehicle, such as a motorcycle, and a method of lubricating the vehicle. The device, mounted on the vehicle, provides a cylindrical container which dispenses lubricant by a manually operated flow valve therein providing a flow orifice which aligns the flow of lubricant to an adjustable flexible flow line which is fixedly set to dispense the lubricant to various areas of the drive chain. The discharge of specific amounts of lubricant by the flow valve is controlled by a spring pressured ball bearing frictionally engaging a plurality of indented seats in the unit.

  • Patent number: 5400871
Abstract: A slideway guide unit for column ways in toolmaking and machine construction comprises a guide unit and a sliding element, secured to it and in contact with a guideway, together with a lubricating device for lubricating the guideway. The invention prevents lubricant losses during assembly and disassembly operations. The sliding element is connected to the guide unit in a positive, impervious and detachable manner, using intermediate sealing elements. The lubricating device displays at least one integrally molded, annular lubricant chamber in the region of the outer wall of the sliding element. At least one of the lubricant chambers is provided with an inlet and each of the lubricant chambers has at least one self-closing outlet for a lubricant, and the outlets penetrate the sliding element and end on the guideway.
