Abstract: An order management system includes an ordering terminal, a checkout terminal, a server, and a kitchen terminal. The ordering terminal generates and transmits order data, a seat leaving command and a seat ID, in response to user inputs. The checkout terminal is configured to process payment for the order. The server is configured to: generate an order file including an order ID based on the order data, transmit checkout data including data in the order file to the checkout terminal, in response to the order ID from the checkout terminal, transmit seat data for seat selection, in response to payment completion data associated with the order ID, transmit a cook start command in response to assignment of one or more vacant seats associated with the order ID, and update the seat data based on the seat leaving command and the seat ID received from the ordering terminal.

Abstract: A dishwasher rack includes a frame and a support rail disposed along sides of the frame. A plurality of cutlery baskets are coupled to the rail. Each cutlery basket is movable from a respective first location on the rail to a respective second location on the rail. The cutlery baskets may be removable to enable a user to adjust a ratio of cutlery storage area to crockery storage area as desired. Also, the cutlery baskets may be arranged to revolve along a perimeter of the rack so that a user can load empty baskets at the same location.

Abstract: A food assembly line is provided for assembling a food item according to an order. The food assembly line includes multiple work stations at which the food item may be positioned, and a display system including a display device at each of the multiple work stations. The display system is configured to display information associated with the order at the display devices. The display system is further configured to update the display devices during assembly of the food item so that each display device displays at least a portion of the information when the food item is positioned proximate the display device.

Abstract: A food service system is formed using a plurality of units capable of being interlocked together in a variety of customizable configurations. The units of the food service system include a food service bar with buffet pan chillers, a work table, a cashier station, and variety of connecting pieces for linking each of the units together. The food service bar comprises a sneeze guard that protects the food contained within the bar on three sides and can be broken down and folded down and into itself when the bar is being transported or stored. The buffet pan chillers are double sided and configured such that when frozen, may accommodate a shallow food pan on one side and then flipped over to accommodate a deep food pan on the other side while still maintaining the same serving height. Each unit is configured to receive multiple sizes of wheels or casters.

Abstract: Food serving pans made from a high heat conductive material include a gasket covering at least a portion of the flange in order to protect a person's fingers from heat or cold, improve gripping ability, provide a seal against a counter top of a food serving table, and protect paint or non stick coating from chipping off the flange. The food serving pan is made from aluminum or other highly heat conductive material. The gasket comprises silicone, other elastomer, or other heat resistant and insulating material. The gasket includes a circumferential sealing ridge and a finger gripping recess. A food serving system includes one or more food pans and a food serving table. The food serving pans help maintain food contained therein at a desired temperature by efficiently transferring heat or cold from the serving table while sealing the interface between the flange and the counter top of the serving table.

Abstract: A method for providing quality exotic foods or foods from a variety of countries at prices comparable to fast food restaurants where the restaurant includes a menu selection book used to pick a food item. The table area includes the ability to order the food. Payment for the food can be made from a self-pay station at the table or at a self-pay cashier station exiting the facility. The restaurant facility specializes in international gourmet foods representative of popular foods typically found in various countries around the world. The menu book includes informational data related to a food item being considered for selection including one of pictures of the food item, seasonings in the food item, history of the food item, ingredients within the food item, nutritional data and any combination thereof.

Abstract: A serving utensil, used for serving food on a salad bar, is attached to a retractable tether device. The retractable tether device is coupled to the under surface of a sneeze shield extending over the food on a salad bar, effectively elevating the retractable tether device and the serving utensil above and/or over food on the salad bar.

Abstract: To permit installations of food court systems at various sites in an expeditious and cost effective manner, freestanding modules for each site are selected from available food court sets, each set consisting of a predetermined equal number of customized modules specially equipped to serve a unique food/beverage product. The modules selected from each set are transported to the respective installation sites where they are arranged to form food court systems according to predetermined food court layouts appropriate for the various installation sites.

Abstract: A modular food display case system permits a particular display case arrangement to be easily customized from a basic design. A plurality of modular bed sections, which are pre-manufactured from a lightweight composite honeycomb material, are used as the basic building blocks of the customized display case, and are arranged end to end. Their lengths may be cut and angled as desired to further customize the arrangement of the customized display case. Partitions divide different temperature-controlled zones within the display case, and may be positioned anywhere along the length of the case, according to the specific arrangement and lengths of hot, cold, and dry (ambient temperature) zones employed, without regard to the ends of the case or the location of joints separating each of the bed sections.

Abstract: A food service electrically driven conveyor having a substantially rectangular table with a flat top and a sprocket chain disposed in a continuous loop parallel to it. The chain is trained over sprockets of relatively small diameter located at each end of the table. Several trays are carried around the path outside the loop by means of a self-lubricating sliding block that rides on a rail member that is contiguous to the chain loop. Pivotally mounted arm members on the block pivotally connect to different link members of the chain.

Abstract: The method and apparatus of this invention can be used for smoothly giving and receiving orders between clients and cookers in restaurants and shops or the like so that clients can order the goods at their own discretion and calculation and also so that cookers can receive smoothly their orders and supply the made good to clients in turn of the received orders and make automatically calculation of the particulars and the total amount of the goods given by clients.
