  • Patent number: 11077901
Abstract: An inner tube moves axially between an outer tube and a support, all of which are concentrically arranged, to a desired telescopic position, relative to the outer tube and the support, and can be locked in the desired telescopic position by applying radial force between the support and the inner surface of the inner tube. The radial force generates a frictional force acting on the inner surface of the inner tube, which resists longitudinal movement of the inner tube. A bicycle actuator cable is coupled to an actuation connector for a tension-controlled actuator by a bicycle cable connector which has a fixed longitudinal position on the bicycle actuator cable. The bicycle cable connector is longitudinally consistently removably repeatably interengageable with the actuation connector to maintain longitudinal alignment of the bicycle actuator cable with the actuator through repeated engagement and disengagement of the bicycle cable connector and the actuation connector.

  • Patent number: 9145283
Abstract: A lifting apparatus having a tool, which is vertically displaceable by means of a motor and to which at least a first toothed wheel is coupled in terms of movement. The toothed wheel engages over the vertical path of displacement in a stationary toothed rack. The lifting gear includes a safety device having a blocking element which, in a locked position, stops the tool from moving in the direction of gravity, at least when the lifting apparatus is deenergized, wherein the blocking element stops the tool over the vertical path of displacement, at basically any level in any vertical position, and is held against a restoring force in an unblocking position with vertical movement of the tool, and the restoring force pushes the blocking element into its locked position, at least when the lifting apparatus is deenergized.

  • Patent number: 7997387
Abstract: The invention relates to a four post parking platform for motor vehicles, comprising two longitudinally directed platform tracks (20, 21) for receiving the vehicle, a front and rear transverse member (5, 6) which both are guided on their ends at the posts (1-4) in a vertically displaceable manner, flexible traction cords (27, 28, 28?) which are provided for engaging at the transverse members (5, 6) for raising and lowering the platform tracks and can be wound and unwound on spool bodies (60), a torsionally rigid shaft (19) for connecting the two spool bodies (60) to each other, and with an electrical drive assembly (15) as rotary drive for the two spool bodies (60) and the shaft (19). According to the invention, the drive assembly (15) is mounted to a vertically liftable and lowerable transverse member (6). The shaft (20) is aligned parallel to the platform tracks (20, 21) and rotatably mounted to the two transverse members (5, 6).

  • Patent number: 6186279
Abstract: A low-rise vehicle lift for use above a pit having side rails rising above a working surface. The vehicle lift comprises a pair of spaced apart base units coupled to corresponding vehicle support units through a lifting means. The lifting means can be a set of legs in either a parallel or scissor configuration. The base units are typically placed parallel to one another straddling the pit and side rails, the base units and vehicle support units coupled together by an adjustment bar. The adjustment bar is attached to the vehicle support units such that a space is provided for allowing the side rails to freely move within when the lift is in a lowered position.

  • Patent number: 5570758
Abstract: A lifting apparatus is provided, in particular a lifting platform, in which a lifting carriage, upon which the load to be lifted can be placed, can be displaced along an arrester rod which is provided with screw threading and on which there is driven by the lifting carriage an easily moveable arrester nut. The arrester nut is supported on its top and bottom by the lifting carriage in such a way that it can rotate, and in this connection the lifting carriage has a braking element which can be brought into a working relationship with the arrester nut in order to prevent any further rotation of the arrester nut. In order to improve the functioning of this arrester apparatus so that it always leads surely to a catching of the falling lifting carriage, even under particularly adverse conditions, an additional safety element is installed which can be actuated either automatically or from the outside.

  • Patent number: 5377787
Abstract: A platform (1) comprising a fixed structure (2) and a plate (3) movable in translation comprising four corners (4). Each corner (4) of the plate is secured to a vertical translation structure (5) which ends in a counterweight (6). A fixed structure comprises three guideposts (7, 14, 21) which coact with three translation structures (5). A support arm (9) is disposed in the upper portion of the platform (1) which coacts with the fourth translation structure (5). In this way, a fourth guidepost is avoided, so that ready access is provided to the space below the plate. At the same time, the plate is supported at all four corners and so is securely arranged.
