The door open and close mechanism includes a linkage mechanism and a slide mechanism. The linkage mechanism is disposed between an operation door and an intermediate door. The linkage mechanism associates the intermediate door with the opening and closing of the operation door. The slide mechanism is disposed between the operation door and the linkage mechanism. The slide mechanism enables the operation door alone to open and close by a predetermined moving distance. When the operation door is operated to open and close within the moving distance, the operation door alone opens and closes by the slide mechanism. When the operation door is operated to open and close beyond the moving distance, the intermediate door opens and closes in association through the linkage mechanism.

    Abstract: An elevator shaft door unlocking mechanism has expander skates on the door drive to unlock the elevator shaft door when entering the region close to an access level. The skates are flexible with respect to the elevator car such that, in the event of any touching of the elevator shaft head, they are flexible over an adjustable distance, and, after the elevator car moves away from the elevator shaft head, they assume their original position. The skates are displaceably mounted on the expander skate construction along respective guides, are held in the uppermost displacement position by tension springs, and are displaced downwardly against the force of these springs through application of force to the upper ends from above resulting from a collision with the elevator shaft head. After the upper ends have been released, they are returned to the uppermost displacement position again by the springs.

    Abstract: The method of the invention can be used to improve the performance of an elevator system. In the method, the acceleration and/or velocity of at least one door in the elevator system is measured and a dynamic model of the door is created. Using the model, an estimation of acceleration and velocity can be calculated as a function of unknown parameters. From the estimated acceleration or velocity and the measured acceleration or velocity an error function is obtained, and a search is performed in an optimizer to find its minimum value. The unknown parameters corresponding to the minimum value indicate the value of the kinetic parameters of the door at the instant being considered. By utilizing the calculated values of the kinetic parameters, the functions of the doors in the elevator system are optimized separately for each door. Using a genetic algorithm, it is possible to determine, in addition to the unknown kinetic parameters, the operational state of the door closing device as well.
