By Variation Of Fiber Input Rate Patents (Class 19/238)
  • Patent number: 9523641
Abstract: A scanning module (9) is disposed over a first plate (32). A first motor (39) of moving the scanning module (9) in a second scanning direction and a second motor (49) of moving the scanning module (9) in a first scanning direction are disposed under the first plate (32). In this manner, the first motor (39) and the second motor (49) being a heat source are disposed on a side opposite to a scanning module (9) side using the first plate (32) as a boundary, and thus a transferred amount of heat from the first motor (39) and the second motor (49) to the scanning module (9) decreases. As a result, accuracy of fluorescence detection is prevented from degrading due to thermal distortion of a detection optical system in the scanning module (9).

  • Patent number: 6880207
Abstract: A method and device for the evaluation of signals of a sensor, in particular of a microwave sensor, is proposed for the detection of the thickness, mass, density and/or moisture of at least one fiber sliver moving relative to the sensor on drafting equipment. A high-frequency unit assigned to the sensor produces a number of first digital signals in digital form of the current state of the (at least one) fiber sliver. The method according to the invention is characterized in that a second digital signal, representing the current sliver thickness or sliver mass of the (at least one) fiber sliver and which is then used to control the drafting equipment and/or to judge the fiber sliver quality, is formed according to an algorithm from the first digital signals made available. In addition a suitable device for the evaluation of the signals of a sensor is proposed.

  • Patent number: 5052080
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for producing continuous slivers of improved uniformity, open-loop or closed-loop control of the production process is corrected in dependence upon the absolute air humidity measured near the installation. Long-term variations in sliver weight, which have been found to correlate with the absolute air humidity, are obviated.

  • Patent number: 4569192
Abstract: An apparatus for producing special yarn made of a fiber strand in which a number of fibers are randomly arranged along the lengthwise direction thereof, in which special yarn at least one of the yarn structural parameters, e.g., yarn count number or number of twist, changes along the lengthwise direction of the yarn.A pattern of change of the parameters of the yarn structure with respect to the length of the special yarn to be produced is stored in a central processing device, while a spun length of the special yarn is measured by a sensor. The yarn structural parameters are changed to correspond to the pattern set to the central processing device and the special yarn is produced by the yarn forming device using another central processing device of the spinning frame. This apparatus can be used for a ring spinning frame, an open end spinning frame, a fasciated yarn spinning frame, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4130984
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a novelty yarn, having relatively short varying length and varying size auxiliary strands randomly distributed therealong, on a spinning frame provided with a series of spaced pairs of rotatable drafting elements defining a drafting zone, which drafting elements include a pair of delivery rolls. The novelty yarn is formed by advancing at least one strand of staple fibers into and through the drafting zone while continuously forming therefrom a ground strand of drafted staple fibers emerging from the delivery rolls. An auxiliary strand of staple fibers is fed through the nip of a pair of auxiliary feed rolls and to the nip of the delivery rolls while the auxiliary feed rolls are being rotated at a slower effective speed than the effective speed of the delivery rolls so as to effect a random parting of the auxiliary strand and thereby form relatively short varying length auxiliary strands randomly distributed along the ground strand.

  • Patent number: 3952372
Abstract: An unpredictable random distribution of segments of supplemental strands of fiber are produced in a base strand by pulling segments from the supplemental strands and adding them to the base strand. The segments are pulled from free extents of the supplemental strands that have a free length longer than the length of the fibers of the supplemental strands, and the supplemental strands advance slower than the base strand, with the result that the size and occurrence of the pulled segments in the base strand are unpredictably random. Preferably, a draw frame is used, to which is added a feed unit having a pair of rotating feed rolls for feeding the supplemental strands to the next-to-last pair of drafting rolls that have a surface speed greater than the feed rolls and are spaced therefrom a distance greater than the length of fibers in the supplemental strands.
