  • Patent number: 8793840
Abstract: A method and a device for the dry forming of a fiber web, in which a multiplicity of fibers or fiber mixtures are fed to a forming head by means of an air flow is described. The forming head produces a fiber stream which is introduced into a clearance of a forming zone between the forming head and a laydown belt. To obtain as uniform a construction of the fiber layer as possible during the laying down of the fibers, the fibers of the fiber stream run through the clearance within the forming zone with free sections of different lengths. To this end, the forming head and the laydown belt are held in a non-parallel arrangement, with the result that the clearance is formed by different spacings between the laydown belt and the forming outlet of the forming head.

Abstract: A method and device for depositing fibers on a forming wire. In one embodiment, a device includes a fiber reservoir having an inlet, a first outlet configured to pass air or gas, and a second outlet configured to pass fiber. The device also includes a fiber meter configured to move fiber out of the reservoir to a forming head via mechanical action and along substantially the entire width of the forming head. The forming head includes one or more air inlets and one or more agitators to blend and open the fiber received from the fiber meter. The forming head interfaces with a vacuum source that draws air into the forming head through the air inlets, which can be adjusted to affect volume and velocity of air drawn into the forming head.

  • Patent number: 7591049
Abstract: A textile lapping machine has an inclined reciprocating comb which deposits a vertically descending fibrous web onto a mesh belt of an endless conveyor which travels through an oven. A reciprocating presser bar pushes the pleats formed by the comb into a shark unit which extends across the width of the mesh belt. The unit has a toothed plate which initially slows the pleated web and longitudinal fingers which overlie the conveyor and form a shallow lapping zone. A textile card delivers the fibrous web to the lapping zone and the oven fuses any low melt synthetic fibers in the web to the surrounding fibers to give a batt with a density of 80-2000 gsm. The comb path direction remains constant and the presser bar and shark unit are moved towards and away from the comb. The drives to the comb and presser bar are independent.

Abstract: In the case of an apparatus for a sliver-forming textile machine, especially a draw frame, flat card or the like, a fiber structure (fiber web) coming from the delivery rollers of a drafting system passes through a web guide and a sliver funnel with take-off rollers, the web guide has an inner wall (deflection and/or guide face), and a frictional resistance offered by the inner wall acts on the fiber structure. In order to allow in a simple manner an improved web guidance and sliver quality, and to permit the web guide to be adapted to different technical parameters, such as fiber material properties, working speed, a parameter relating to contact between fiber structure and inner wall is alterable.

  • Patent number: 7418769
Abstract: This invention relates to a kind of down branch fiber fabric, its fabricating method and device. The fabric is composed of 10-100% down branch fiber and 0-90% textile fiber by weight. The processing steps include material choosing, silver feeding, twisting, winding packages, heat setting and weaving. The device comprises a raw material tank, a feeding conveyer belt, a inclined feeding conveyer belt, a adjustable even roller, a brambly catching roller, a first subsiding room, an even roller, a brambly dividing roller, a second subsiding room, two dust cages. The present invention makes the down branch fiber spinnable and weavable. It solves the problem that the down branch fiber cannot be combed and drawn and drafted by the prior textile technique, so that chances the fact that the down branch fiber can only be used as the fiber stuffing to make down garments, quilts, ticks and other bedding. This new fabric is applicable to make thermal woven, hoses, quilts, ticks or other bedding.

Abstract: A plant serves as a mean for production of a fibre web of synthetic fibres, such as plastic fibres and absorbent fibres, such as viscose and cellulose fibres. The plant includes a forming head preliminary to lay a homogeneously and smoothly distributed fibre layer on a net shaped wire. Furthermore the plant includes a hydro-entangling section with liquid nozzles with powerful liquid jets to treat the in the forming head formed fibre layer, which consists of both synthetic—and absorbent fibres. The plant also includes an oven subsequently to thermal bond the synthetic fibres with cross bonds in the affected areas. Finally the dried web is winded up in a roller. By the help of the plant according to the invention, by higher production speed than known previously a fibre web can be produced, which is far cheaper, and which has a better and more homogeneous structure than similar conventional fibre webs.
