Abstract: A luggage includes a main housing defining therein a first storage chamber, a sub-housing hinged to one front lateral side of the main housing and adapted for closing the first storage chamber and defining therein a second storage chamber, a first zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of the sub-housing relative to the main housing, a cover panel hinged to a front bottom side of the sub-housing and adapted for closing the second storage chamber, and a second zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of the cover panel relative to the sub-housing.

Abstract: A suitcase or luggage piece having a rigid lower compartment that retains the intended shape and a soft flexible lid or top that is releasably attached to the lower compartment. In an alternate embodiment there is an expansion piece mounted between the lower rigid compartment and the lid. The expansion piece can be either rigid or soft and is stored in the lower compartment until needed.

Abstract: A carrying bag is provided which is able to be fully opened on all sides so as to provide easy access, and complete visibility, as to the contents. The bag has pockets attached to the sides, with each pocket having a smaller adjacent pocket which accommodates a label denoting the intended contents of that particular pocket. The bag also has means to allow it to be hung in either a flattened or partially closed state, with stowable hooks or re-enforced holes added to the sides for this purpose.

Abstract: An explosives deployment bag includes a main body portion having a chamber for containing and carrying at least one flexible material. The bag further includes a hole disposed through the main body portion through which a flexible elongate material can be controllably pushed or pulled into or out of and attached to one or more initiator(s). The bag also includes enclosing means disposed at the top of the main body portion for selectively covering the top of the main body portion through which another end of the flexible elongate material can be attached to a blasting material. A cap covers the blasting material and the top of the main body portion. Protective siding selectively covers the initiator(s). A handle and label means are also provided with the bag.

Abstract: A suitcase, which can include first and second hard-sided shells defining storage compartments. The suitcase can include a divider, which can be positioned between the first and second hard-sided shells, wherein the first and second hard-sided shells are connectable to edges of the divider by utilizing first and second zipper mechanisms respectively. The divider can comprise flexible material and can be utilized to separate the storage compartments of the hard-sided shells. The hard-sided suitcase can also include a third zipper mechanism, which can extend around a plurality of sides of the divider. The third zipper mechanism can include a double-sided zipper that can be operated from each side of the divider. Upon opening the portion of the divider, simultaneous access can be provided to the storage compartments of the first and second hard-sided shells by folding or removing the flexible divider material.

Abstract: A trunk able to fix articles in position includes a trunk body and a cover connected together and respectively provided with an air bag in an interior. The trunk body has one outer side formed with an accommodating groove installed therein with an inflation apparatus provided with an inflating pipe communicating with the air bags. In using, the air inflation apparatus is taken out of the accommodating grove and then pressed or trodden for pumping air into the air bags through the inflation pipe to let the soft air bags expand and fill up the space in the trunk body. Thus, the inflated air bags can function to press and restrictedly position the articles stably in the trunk and also protect the articles in the trunk from being moved, bumped with each other and damaged.

Abstract: The combination suitcase and chair apparatus provides a suitcase typical in appearance to many others. However, somewhat hidden within the suitcase are the four legs and the section leg that provide for the apparatus to be used as a chair. The four legs telescope and provide for the first section to be the adjustable height chair bottom. The section leg pivots and telescopes from the second section such that the second section is an adjustably angled chair back. The section leg is removably covered by a flap substantially like the flaps that cover the four legs of the first section. Importantly, both the first section and second section have a removable cushioned mat. The mats provide cushioned comfort and also provide for covering the cavity within each section. The cavities are used as would be those in a typical suitcase.

Abstract: A versatile travel trunk may be reconfigured for numerous purposes, including a men's wardrobe, women's wardrobe, a combined wardrobe, food-carrying applications, tool and utensil accommodation, or any combination thereof. The preferred embodiment includes a body portion to which there is hinged a closable door portion. The body portion has an interior with a depth and opposing inner side walls adapted to receive one or more removable and reconfigurable shelves. A plurality of fasteners are disposed on the back portion of the back wall of the door to receive one or more modular inserts, each insert having a back surface connectable to the fasteners and a front surface with compartments adapted to carry a different set of items for a particular travel application. One or more of the shelves further include lower tracks to receive drawers that slide in and out of the body portion. The body portion preferably further includes a set of integrated wheels and a retractable handle for ease in transport.

Abstract: A hard-sided suitcase may include a plurality of polycarbonate shells for forming storage compartments of the hard-sided suitcase, wherein at least one of the plurality of polycarbonate shells is utilized for forming a hard-sided zipper pocket. The hard-sided suitcase may include a zipper mechanism for connecting a pair of polycarbonate shells to form a main storage compartment and for providing access to the main storage compartment. The hard-sided suitcase may include a second zipper mechanism for connecting the hard-sided zipper pocket to one of the polycarbonate shells forming the main storage compartment. When the second zipper mechanism is opened, the hard-sided zipper pocket may be in an open position, and when the second zipper mechanism is closed, the hard-sided zipper pocket may be in a closed position. The hard-sided zipper pocket may be held open and at angle with respect to the suitcase via a flexible, pocket lining.

Abstract: A dual compartment, dual open mouth tool bag is fabricated from flexible material forming the side and top panels of the bag and the dual access openings. Each of the separate open mouth openings provides separate access to an individual compartment within the bag. The compartments may, in an alternative embodiment, be connected one to the other or may be separated by an intermediate open top storage compartment.

Abstract: A luggage system is provided for simultaneous transportation of attached suitcases. Two side-by-side suitcases are secured together by providing a male connector on a side of a first suitcase and a female connector on the side of a second suitcase which faces the side of the first suitcase. The male connector and female connector inter-engage to secure the two suitcases and prevent them from displacement or disengagement during transportation.

Abstract: Luggage cases that are sized and shaped to be carried on to the passenger compartment of a commercial airplane are called carry-on luggage cases. Cases small enough to fit below the passenger seat 28 immediately in front of the traveler must be very small and compact and generally interfere with comfortable placement of the passenger's feet during travel. The disclosed luggage case 2 includes a tapering reinforced portion 22 of the main packing door 18 on which a passenger may wish to place or rest his or her feet during travel. This main packing door 18 is constructed to bend and open to give access to a specially designed slanting shelf area 12 where a bottled drink 16 or cosmetics can be easily accessed without removing the case 2 from its stowed position beneath the front passenger seat 28.

At least the lower half portion of the peripheral of the front wall is seamed with the front edge of the elastic side wall. The zipper assembly encircles the back wall and the front wall. When the zipper assembly is completely unlocked, the thickness of the exterior pocket is resiliently expandable to accommodate articles of various thicknesses, including an ordinary drink bottle.

The removable panels can zip up into place to divide the bag into a central space and end spaces, or can be unzipped and rolled up to create one large space or two sections. A main flap closure provides access to the central space, and end openings with zipper closures provide access to the end spaces. The bag can be available in a range of sizes and styles.

Abstract: A piece of luggage is formed in the shape of a racing automobile and employs a paint and sticker scheme of a particular racing team. The luggage includes a frame that has sidewalls that include radial extensions. Zippers are arranged about the luggage to allow access to the various compartments arranged in the respective hood area, canopy region and passenger compartment of the piece of luggage. In an alternative embodiment, the invention is formed as a cooler.

The provision of such a pocket can allow a user to personalize the bag and can also facilitate bag identification.

Abstract: A pocket closure device for facilitating retention of and access to items placed in a pocket. Specifically, certain embodiments of the present invention comprise an elongate resilient member disposed along a pocket and attached to a front panel of the pocket and to an outer surface of a bag. The elongate resilient member acts to bias the front panel against the outer surface of the bag such that the panel may be quickly and effectively accessed in a single movement. The biased nature of the front panel of the pocket also enables quick and automatic closure of the pocket to secure pocket contents.

Abstract: A tool storage bag is provided for storing tools and accessories at a work site. The tool storage bag is formed with soft sides and has external expandible pockets to accept a variety of tools and accessories. In one version, the bag has an A-frame opening which presents an unobstructed opening in the open position for receiving larger tools such as a circular saw. In another version, the tool bag has a rectangular opening which is spanned by a rigid handle with end portions which are attached to selected opposing sidewalls of the bag. The rigid handle accommodates heavier loads and adds increased stability to the bag construction.

Abstract: An X-ray-permeable bag is provided with a pair of hinged compartments carried by a handle in side-by-side relationship but are spread horizontally about a hinge for edge-to-edge placement on a conveyor belt so as to allow separate X-ray inspection of the compartments without content removal. In its preferred form, the bag permits separate scanning of a laptop computer and its accessories by utilizing a method that reduces the time required to perform an inspection while maintaining the integrity of the inspection process.

Abstract: A magnetic closure device for a compartment of a carry case, the compartment having an access opening, the access opening having at least one first predetermined dimension. The flap is attached to the carry case and positioned inside the compartment, the flap having at least one dimension greater than the corresponding first dimension of the access opening to retain the flap inside the compartment and to thereby prevent movement of the flap outside the opening. The flap is hingedly attached at one end to the carry case and is arranged to move inwardly to provide access to the compartment through the opening. Mutually magnetically attractable devices are respectively attached to a wall portion of the compartment and to the flap in correspondingly opposed positions to retain the flap in engagement with the wall portion of the compartment to provide closure to the compartment, whereby the flap is manually movable inwardly to provide user access to the compartment.

It comprises two compartments, with partitions and pockets for equipment and items of clothing. Fastening means on one compartment engage fastening means on the other compartment, to secure the compartments in either the transport configuration or the stand-up configuration. Each compartment comprises a frame, sufficiently rigid to render the bag stable in the stand-up configuration. Rear and front panels of the compartments, as well as partitions and pockets, are manufactured of open texture material, to facilitate ventilation and drying of items carried in the bag. In one embodiment, one of the compartments comprises a pair of wheels and a retractable handle.

When the portable enclosure is unzipped into the open position, the back wall and side walls open up flat so that the pockets, shelves and pouches located on the interior surfaces thereof are accessible. Yet, since the portable enclosure is now flat, it can be located out of the way, secured against the back of the dugout where it will not create a trip hazard for the players.

This conceals the pocket to improve the aesthetic appearance of the piece of baggage and reduces the risk of snagging the mesh pocket as the piece of baggage is transported.

The organizing pockets may be sized to hold Sectional Aeronautical Charts published by the Federal Aviation Administration for use by aircraft pilots. The rotatable organizing pockets are easily accessible to pilots to allow a pilot to direct more of his or her attention to piloting an aircraft and less time fumbling through files or pockets to locate maps and papers.

Dual-sided external access combined with internal, modular, fixed-size or variable-size stowage cells, oriented generally orthogonal to the planes of both sides, permits packing and selective removal of articles through either face of the bag so that articles otherwise buried in the bag are easily removed by flipping the bag over and accessing the item through the openable back face.

Abstract: A combination backrest and storage compartment for a motorcycle or the like includes a bag made of flexible material, dimensioned to fit in the space between the driver's seat and the sissy bar of the motorcycle. This secures the combination bag and storage compartment onto the motorcycle. A padded lumbar support backrest is attached to the outside of the bag adjacent the driver's seat.
