Abstract: The unique element of this tackle box can also be applied to a toolbox, sewing box, or any other type of utility box used for carrying various supplies. That unique element is the handle itself and the way that it automatically secures the top lid of the box when it's being carried and in the fact that the handle itself is attached to lower portion of the box and not attached to the lid, as is the case for most prior inventions that are similar. By attaching the handle to the lower portion of the box and not the lid, this invention solves the problem that occurs when the user commonly forgets to secure the lid (as required in prior related inventions with this design flaw) resulting in accidental spillage of its contents.

Abstract: An insulated cooler with an integral padlock system comprises a hinged lid and a padlock receiving loop located on the lid. A second, corresponding receiving loop is disposed on the cooler. When closed, a user can apply a padlock to the first and second receiving loop simultaneously to lock the lid in a closed position to enable a user to leave the cooler unattended while full of food or beverages in a public location and prevent unauthorized persons and animals from getting into the cooler.

Abstract: Suitcase for transport of tools or the like, which includes a box-shaped bottom (1), a corresponding lid (2) and a flip-up handle (3) on the side of the bottom (1). The bottom (1) and the lid (2) are connected with each other by one or more hinges. A lock is provided for locking the lid (2) to the bottom (1), and said lock includes a latch device (4), which is turnably mounted on the bottom (1) on the same side of the suitcase as the handle (3). Said latch device (4) is adapted so that by turning, it engages with the lid (2) and fixes the lid in its closed position. The latch device (4) and the handle (3) have interacting cam means (22 and 23), which effect turning of the latch device (4) into the locked position when the handle (3) is turned to flipped-up position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing several stages of closure of a luggage case (2), including an open stage, a pre-close stage in which one or more latching mechanisms are engaged, and a secure stage in which a drawing action pulls both shells of the luggage case (2) further together. Also disclosed is a method and system for automatically ensuring proper latching of the multiple latching mechanisms around the perimeter of a luggage case (2). The latching mechanisms may be aligned by use of a single operative mechanism (16). The present invention comprises a low-friction, durable system. The present invention ensures security of a user's belongings by providing the extra measurement of closure. The user enjoys a single operative mechanism (16), and needs to exert only a minimal amount of pressure to latch the case (2), thanks to a clever design of the single operative mechanism (16). The user needs not worry about their suitcase (2) popping open due to a failed latching mechanism.

Abstract: A slide fastener and related pull are disclosed. The pull is formed of an elongate strip of material defining a handle portion between a first end and an opposite second end. The first end of the pull is attached to the article bearing an elongate set of engaging structures for the slide fastener. A slide for operably engaging the set of engaging structures is attached to the pull toward the opposite second end. Accordingly, the handle portion forms an easily graspable quasi-pull chord for opening and closing the pull fastener. In a preferred embodiment, a tab portion of the pull extends from the slide attachment point on the pull to the second end of the pull, and it is detachably secured to the article when the slide fastener is in its closed position. Accordingly, the pull itself can be used as a storage device to hang objects such as a towel, a pair of shoes or the like therefrom. The pull can also serve as a protective cover for the pull fastener and have surface ornamentation thereon.

Abstract: A locking device for a telescopic handle of a luggage item with wheels has a cap covering a bracket of a sliding strip. A block is received in the cap and has sloping edges abutting on sloping surfaces of the bracket. A finger is formed on the block and extends out an opening of an inner tuber and an aperture of an outer tube. The sliding strip is connected with a first end of a linkage and a lever is connected with a second end of the linkage. By pressing a button to turn the lever, the sliding strip is pulled upwards and the block will move inwards along the sloping surface of the bracket to retract the finger from the aperture of the outer tube for the adjustment of the inner tube.

Abstract: A lunchbox including a wedge-shaped tray and a similarly configured wedge shaped cover positionable thereover in reversible end to end positions to form different internal space configurations. Latch assemblies locking the cover to the tray in each position. Both latch assemblies being completely disengageable. Alternatively, one latch assembly can remain engaged to define a hinge assembly for pivotal movement of the cover.

Abstract: An improved apparatus for transporting a utilitarian object such as a weapon, camera, or the like in a concealed manner which includes a deployment mechanism that can be easily activated to instantly deploy the object for use. The apparatus includes an enclosure which in its normal transport mode has the appearance of an attache case. The utilitarian object is concealed within the attache case until the deployment mechanism is actuated causing the attache case to fall away from the utilitarian object readying it for use. A novel safing mechanism is provided within the handle of the attache case to positively prevent accidental actuation of the deployment mechanism.

Abstract: This invention is the structure of handles, for attache cases or related products, that can also be used to lock the cases. It uses a pair of tension handles that has insertion poles on opposite ends to fit into the slots on the joints of case shells, and buckles on the other opposite ends to fasten with mortises on the joints of case shells by the use of the handles' tension, thus closing the case tightly and easily for light and safe lifting and carrying.

Abstract: The present invention is a shoulder bag having a pouch made of flexible material that, once closed, will remain closed even if substantial weight is carried in the pouch. The construction of the pouch consists of joining together two substantially similar panels of flexible material to form a pouch with closed side and bottom edges and an open top edge. A shoulder strap is attached to the pouch near of the top of each said edge. If the panels of flexible material conform in size and shape to the present disclosure, the opening in the pouch will remain closed while the bag is in use.

Abstract: A carrying case comprises an octagonal shaped body fitted with an octagonal shaped lid, a trapezoidal shaped compartment being located on an octagonal shaped surface of the octagonal shaped lid. The compartment is fitted with a trapezoidal shaped lid. The entire perimeter of the trapezoidal shaped lid is defined by four slanting surfaces each which forms an obtuse angle with the octagonal shaped surface of the octagonal shaped lid. Each of the slanting surfaces has an outer edge parallel to an edge of the octagonal shaped surface of the lid. The body includes a wall perpendicular to the octagonal shaped surface and on which is mounted a carrying handle for the carrying case. The carrying handle is substantially L-shaped and has a shorter leg oriented perpendicualar to and fixed to the aforementioned wall and a longer leg spaced from and oriented parallel to the aforementioned wall and has its major dimension in a plane parallel to the plane of the octagonal shaped surface.

A zipper joins the left and right halves along the peripheral edge to define a closed interior for the bag. The handle is movable between extended and retracted positions. The handle and latch mechanism may be located in eithe the cover portion or the main body of the carrying case.
