Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a nitride semiconductor stack having at least two hetero junction bodies where a first nitride semiconductor layer and a second nitride semiconductor layer having a band gap wider than that of the first nitride semiconductor layer are disposed, and includes a drain electrode and, a source electrode disposed to the nitride semiconductor stack, and gate electrodes at a position put between the drain electrode and the source electrode and disposed so as to oppose them respectively in which the drain electrode and the source electrode are disposed over the surface or on the lateral side of the nitride semiconductor stack, and the gate electrode has a first gate electrode disposed in the direction of the depth of the nitride semiconductor stack and a second gate electrode disposed in the direction of the depth of the nitride semiconductor at a depth different from the first gate electrode.

Abstract: A lock actuated by an insertion object. The actuated lock has a housing. The housing has an insertion slot for the insertion object. The lock has a passageway adjuster to exclude an undesirable insertion object. The lock has a first retainer which is vertically adjustable to a plurality of vertical positions. Each vertical position defines an insertion object passage. The insertion object passage has a length which is measured by the distance between the first retainer and the passageway adjuster. The insertion object travels in a pathway through the insertion slot, then through the passageway adjuster, and then through the insertion object passageway. The lock has a design which permits changing its handedness.

Abstract: A dispensing machine in the form of a vending machine for vending generally planar articles, which may be rigid or flexible, includes an article feed system having a first generally horizontal conveyor on which the articles are arranged generally vertically side-by-side and by which they are moved towards a second generally transversely extending conveyor which removes the endmost article from the first conveyor and supplies it to an outlet slot in the housing of the machine and from which it is removed by the user. The second conveyor may remove articles from the first conveyor generally vertically upwardly or generally horizontally. The article feed system is driven by operation of a handle by the user through an intermediate mechanical drive system connected between the handle and the article feed system and keys may be provided for preventing operation of the article feed system in the absence of the provision by the user of the required amount of money for an article.
