    Abstract: A conveying direction switching apparatus includes a first and a second blade assembly, and auxiliary blades rotatably provided at a shaft. The auxiliary blades are arranged between the first and second blade assemblies. When conveying bills, the portions of the bills passing between the first and second blade assemblies in the longitudinal direction of the shaft are guided by the auxiliary blades toward the conveying direction of the bills. Thus, the conveying direction of the medium is appropriately switched.
