Patent number: 9227219Abstract: A device for forming a microstructured coating on a substrate. The device includes a microstructured band that can be moved by rolling without slipping on the substrate and going around main pressure application elements assembled on a chassis, and secondary pressure application elements assembled on the chassis so as to be in contact with an inner face of the band in a zone of a strand of the band delimited by said main pressure application elements, this zone being exposed to the action of a curing apparatus that accelerates curing of a curable material designed to form said coating. A method for forming a microstructured coating using the above-mentioned device.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2013Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: AIRBUS OPERATIONS (SAS)Inventor: Eric Lieutet

Patent number: 9205996Abstract: An approach is provided to sort objects on a surface of vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules that are controlled by processors. A request to sort the plurality of objects in a horizontal direction is received with each of the objects is assigned a sort position. Sets of the vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules are selected. The vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules are arranged in a grid formation on the surface, with each of the sets of selected transfer modules being underneath a different object. The sets of selected transfer modules are vertically adjusted causing each of the objects to move independently from the other objects while avoiding the other objects in two or more dimensions formed on the surface. The result of the movement is that each of the objects is moved to a position respective of the other objects according to each object's respective sort position.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2014Date of Patent: December 8, 2015Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Shang Q. Patent number: 8474596Abstract: The invention describes a transfer conveying apparatus (1) having small conveying rollers (14) which form a conveying plane (13) for an item of transported goods (3) for a main conveying direction and at least one auxiliary conveying direction with a pivoting apparatus for pivoting the small conveying rollers (14) about pivot axes which extend perpendicularly with respect to the conveying plane (13) and with a drive apparatus for the small conveying rollers (14). A load-bearing frame of the transfer conveying apparatus (1) having at least one row (11) of the small conveying rollers (14) arranged transversely with respect to the main conveying direction and having pivoting transfer and drive transfer for the row (11) of the small conveying rollers (14) forms a conveying module which is connected detachably to a base module having at least one pivoting drive arrangement and at least one small-roller drive arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2013Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: TGW Mechanics GmbHInventors: Christoph Wolkerstorfer, Markus Wolkerstorfer

Patent number: 8312981Abstract: A method and a device for the contamination-free, precise-track conveying and rotating on one plane of thin, impact-sensitive crystalline panels, in particular glass panels is described. The method includes the following features: a) a glass panel (6) is conveyed over parallel mounted carriers (9) of a roller conveyor, the surface of the rollers having a thread-type structure; b) to alter the travelling direction of a glass panel (6), other supplementary rollers (7) are provided in the space between the rollers (8) in the appropriate region of the roller conveyor, said other rollers being lifted above the level of the roller conveyor by means of a lifting device; and c) to rotate a glass panel (6) independently of the travelling direction, other supplementary rollers (10) are provided in the space between the rollers (8) in the appropriate region of the roller conveyor.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2009Date of Patent: November 20, 2012Assignee: Grenzebach Maschinenbau GmbHInventor: Roland Franz

Patent number: 7735781Abstract: A system for in-air deployment of objects utilizes an aircraft having a hatch that can be opened while the aircraft is in mid-flight. An air and pressure tight container stowed within the aircraft has a doorway that is sealed to and about the hatch from within the aircraft. Mounted within the container is an expulsion system for expelling objects from the container through its doorway and the aircraft's hatch. The container may be coupled and sealed to other containers to define a contiguous volume for storing the objects and allowing movement of the objects between containers.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2005Date of Patent: June 15, 2010Assignee: United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Elan Moritz, Helmut Portmann

Patent number: 7008164Abstract: An automated guided vehicle has plural conveyors for transferring materials to be transferred mounted on a self-propelling dolly and juxtaposed in a transverse direction. Each of the conveyors includes plural part conveyors whose operation can be controlled individually and arranged in tandem in a transferred direction. One or three or more part conveyors may be disposed or arranged in tandem in the direction of the vehicular width. One or three or more part conveyors may be disposed or juxtaposed in the transverse direction.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2003Date of Patent: March 7, 2006Assignee: Nippon Yusoki Co., Ltd.Inventor: Eiichi Rokkaku

Publication number: 20010023813Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a device and to a device for conveying loose objects from a supply station to a delivery station, wherein a conveyor is used by means of which trays containing objects can be moved. The conveyor includes at least one carrier for receiving said trays, which carrier can be moved in an intended direction of movement with the aid of driving means and which can be selectively pivoted about a pivot axis at at least one desired location. The object is either removed from the tray by pivoting the carrier about the respective pivot axis, whereby the object slides off the tray in a first direction, or the tray and the object are jointly removed from the carrier by moving the tray and the object in a second direction transversely to said first direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2001Publication date: September 27, 2001Applicant: Vanderlande Industries Nederland B.V.Inventor: Jacobus Marie Van Den Goor

Patent number: 6276508Abstract: A conveyor sortation station including a plurality of inclined splined rollers which form a slider bed. The plurality of splined rollers are aligned with coparallel axes and allow a parcel or other article to slide downwardly thereon under the influence of gravity to a center discharge destination. If desired, the splined rollers may be commonly rotated in either rotational direction to allow for discharge to side discharge locations on either side of the central discharge location.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 1999Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Assignee: United Parcel Service of America, Inc.Inventor: Henri Bonnet
