Abstract: A method and to a device for conveying planar products (12), particularly folded printed products. At a transfer point (A), the products (12) are inserted with the leading edges (14) thereof ahead into compartments (22) of a revolving system (20) in the form of a paddle wheel, the compartments moving along a closed revolving path (U), and removed from the compartments (22) at a transfer point (B) by way of grippers (32) of a gripper conveyor (30) and conveyed away. The products are seized by the grippers (32) at the trailing edges (16). The seizing of the trailing edge (16), which preferably is not the folded open product edge, has the advantage that it can be implemented without a complicated engagement of the revolving system (20) and gripper conveyor (30) and that the further conveyance and further processing of the products (12) are simplified.

Abstract: A machine for leak testing melt blown bottles includes a base plate and is provided with a vacuum. The machine includes a turntable assembly, which has an inner ring fastened to the base plate. The inner ring includes a channel about its circumference connected to the vacuum. An outer ring is formed of multiple parts, and fitted slidingly but sealingly around the inner ring. The outer ring has vacuum ports in communication with the channel of the inner ring. A turntable is rotatably connected to the outer ring and includes openings formed in its upper surface communicating with the vacuum ports. The outer ring may be held together by one or more O-rings. Vacuum fittings transfer the vacuum between the openings in the turntable and the vacuum ports of the outer ring.

Abstract: A bead feeder for serially delivering beads to a downstream location comprises a bead supply wheel connected to rotate about a substantially vertical axis. The bead supply wheel includes a bead supply bowl and a plurality of radially and outwardly extending bead passageways connected to rotate with the bowl and dimensioned to receive a single line of beads from the bowl. A plurality of discharge openings in the bead supply bowl is spaced around a lower portion thereof with the openings in alignment with the radially and outwardly extending passageways, and each of the passageways has an outer exit end. A stationary blocking ring is directly below the outer exit ends of the passageways for receiving the lowermost bead from the single line of beads in each passageway. A drop-off on the blocking ring allows the lowermost beads to drop away in a downward direction while a stationary bead retainer above the drop-off of the blocking ring retained the bead adjacent the outermost bead.
