  • Patent number: 7228955
Abstract: The invention starts with a hopper (1) where the objects are randomly introduced, with a bottom (2) tilted towards an adjustable outlet opening (3), arranged under the latter there is a unitary metering device (5) leading to a discharge plate (22) of a grooved front edge (23) so as to intertwine with blades (11) of a lifting means (6), wherein said plates are spaced by a magnitude which is not quite twice the width of the objects to be handled, a lifting means ending at a transfer mechanism consisting of a conveyor (27), also with grooved blades (28) acting on a base plate (29) framed by two rails (30) guiding the objects towards a drop opening (17), with means which make the objects swing during their fall so that they adopt the correct position when they reach an exit conveyor (41), between two side walls (34), another conveyor (36) collaborating with said conveyor (41), the former provided with a plurality of pushing means (35) spaced by a magnitude in accordance with the width of the objects to be conveye

  • Patent number: 5367836
Abstract: An automatic drill loader is used with a drill grinding machine to automatically present drills to the drill grinding machine workhead for being ground thereat and to carry ground drills to a storage receptacle. The automatic drill loader comprises a magazine, a timing station, and two sets of grippers. The magazine stores a quantity of drills, which may have stepped shanks. The magazine is adjustable to suit drills of different lengths and diameters. The magazine presents one drill at a time to a staging station. A load gripper grips the drill at the staging station and conveys it to the timing station, whereat the drill is linearly and angularly oriented. The load gripper then transports the drill to the drill grinding machine workhead. Simultaneously, an unload gripper carries a ground drill from the drill grinding machine workhead to the storage receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4953684
Abstract: A device for transferring small discrete objects such as pharmaceutical stoppers and caps including a frame movably positionable at a predetermined location for delivery of the objects and an angularly displaced conveyor on the frame having a discharge chute at the predetermined location for discharge of objects thereto. The conveyor includes a conveyor chain defining a path from a transfer path to the discharge chute. The chain has bucket flights for conveying the objects along the path. A delivery chute is also on the frame for transferring the objects to the transfer point. The delivery chute includes a first tray inclined with the horizontal and having an open terminal end adjacent the transfer point positioned to feed the objects to the conveyor chain. The delivery chute further includes a second tray located within the first tray at the same or greater angle with the horizontal and positioned to receive the objects.

  • Patent number: 4795264
Abstract: A concreting train consists of a plurality of wagons supporting a mixer, a multiple conveyor arrangement and separate containers for cement and aggregate. A container for cement has at least one integrated conveyor worm. All container wagons are provided with inclined conveyor belts which extend below the containers and overlap one another. On separate pathes aggregate and cement are supplied into a housing of the mixer wagon. The housing is supported on a weighing frame in order to additively weigh the mixing components. The housing contains a mixing shaft operatively connected with a drive motor. The housing is mounted for reciprocating movement along an inclined angled track in order to lift the housing on a higher level for discharging the concrete into a hopper of a concrete pump.

  • Patent number: 4063633
Abstract: An apparatus for the high speed transportation of cigarette filter rods from a magazine containing the rods to a transfer drum. The apparatus has a magazine, a downwardly extended chute connected to the magazine adapted to receive filter rods singularly, a rod separation means at the junction of the magazine and chute, and a vacuum means adjacent to the chute exit. The vacuum means creates a negative pressure within the chute to hold the lowermost rod in the chute in a fixed position for accurate transfer to the transfer drum.
