  • Patent number: 7759585
Abstract: Distribution unit (21, 23) for distributing material into a number of delimited openings (23) arranged next to each other in such a manner that a transition (27) is provided between the individual openings; and wherein, in connection with the individual transition, a pushing unit (25) is arranged, wherein said pushing unit is arranged such that it is able to actively push material in a direction away from the transition. The distribution unit may partake in a weighing apparatus. Material settling in the transition is pushed down into one of the openings by the pushing unit.

  • Patent number: 6170670
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding a granular catalyst to a destination such as a reactor at a constant feeding rate uniformly charges the catalyst material into the device. The granular catalyst is loaded into individual compartments of a hopper and is ejected at a discharge rate controlled by a gate. When a vibrator is activated, a trough is caused to vibrate in its obliquely upward direction and the granular material in the trough is smoothly conveyed toward outlets of granular material passages formed in the trough, and is introduced to reaction tubes of the reactor via sieves. Powdery waste of the granular catalyst produced by the vibration of the trough is removed by letting it fall the sieves made in the granular material passages.

  • Patent number: 4979608
Abstract: A three mass, two trough feeder transfers articles on first and second troughs by vibrating the troughs. First and second leaf springs support the troughs on a base with the troughs in line with each other and with one trough overlapping the other. The ratio of the spring constant of the first leaf springs to the first trough mass equals the ratio of the spring constant of the second leaf spring to the second trough mass. An electromagnetic driver between one of the troughs and the base is excited with a signal having a frequency with an angular velocity equal to the square root of the ratio. A plurality of feeders may be positioned radially outwardly about the periphery of a conical head for distributing articles.

  • Patent number: 4941565
Abstract: A dispersion feeder used in a combination weighing machine for distributively feeding product to be weighed out to a plurality of weighing units arranged around it. The feeder is characterized in that it includes a mechanism for effecting rotational movement of the center or apex of its dispersion table. This movement exerts a centrifugal force on product fed onto the table, including product in and near the center of the table, thereby ensuring that such product is removed from the table.

  • Patent number: 4596327
Abstract: A device for feeding product from a single source to a plurality of weighing units of a combination weighing machine, which are arranged in circular array, comprising a centrally disposed generally circular dispersion feeder for radially dispersing the product fed to its center portion and a plurality of radially disposed vibration conveyer troughs communicating with the respective weighing units for receiving the product from the periphery of the dispersion feeder and conveying them to the corresponding weighing units.

  • Patent number: 4178984
Abstract: An inverted U-shaped frame is provided to straddle the injection molding machine, and a chain conveyor provided with spaced apart groups of L-shaped insert carriers is moved along the frame. An insert chute is provided for working side of the frame for loading cylindrical inserts on the carriers. An insert transfer device is provided on the other side of the frame for transferring the inserts from the chain conveyor to an insert holder which is swung between the insert transfer device and the metal mold. The holder holds the inserts in a pattern corresponding to the pattern of the inserts when they are disposed in the metal mold. The chain conveyor is moved intermittently at a predetermined feed pitch. An insert detector is provided near the chute and when the detector detects that an insert carrier is not loaded with an insert, the direction of movement is reversed to return the empty insert carrier to the chute to load an insert thereon.
