Vibratory Conveying Member Patents (Class 198/752.1)
  • Patent number: 11905120
Abstract: A vibratory conveyor drive system that can be fitted onto most existing vibratory conveyors. It replaces the conventional vibrational drive and its connections to the trough or trough frame and dramatically increases the longevity of the vibratory conveyor. It is a simple inexpensive retrofit. It has a drive arm with a vibratory drive that is hung from one of its ends and is partially vertically supported underneath by a vertical spring means. The other end of the drive arm is connected to the trough or the trough frame. Between the vibratory drive the drive arm and the trough or frame, there is at least one flexion means to negate the vertical forces of the drive and utilize only the lineal drive forces. The drive arm is at an acute angle with respect to the linear axis of the trough so as to impart an oscillating translational movement to the trough.

  • Patent number: 10163535
Abstract: Biomass (e.g., plant biomass, animal biomass, and municipal waste biomass) is processed to produce useful intermediates and products, such as energy, fuels, foods or materials. For example, systems and methods are described that can be used to treat feedstock materials, such as cellulosic and/or lignocellulosic materials, while cooling equipment and the biomass to prevent overheating and possible distortion and/or degradation. The biomass is conveyed by a conveyor, which conveys the biomass under an electron beam from an electron beam accelerator. The conveyor can be cooled with cooling fluid. The conveyor can also vibrate to facilitate exposure to the electron beam. The conveyor can be configured as a trough that can be optionally cooled.

With the eggs positioned on the incubating tray and held by egg tray posts with their large ends facing upward for the purposes of incubation, vibration is applied to the tray. The vibration allows the eggs to ‘float’ in their restricted locations in the egg tray. Since the eggs are naturally bottom-heavy, the heaviest portion of each egg moves down as the tray is vibrated. Abstract: An automated system is configured to wash and dry mats. The system includes a number of modules, including a loading module, vibration module, washing module, vacuum module, and a discharge module. The disclosed system provides an opportunity for manual inspection of the mats, too. Because the mats that are fed into the system are jostled or shaken before they are washed, reduced amounts of chemicals, water, water pressure, drying energy, etc. are needed to clean the mats. The system may also optionally include a automatic rolling and sorting apparatus, which rolls a mat and sorts it according to weight, size, etc. after it is discharged from the discharge module. A method of cleaning mats is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention is a vibratory distribution system which utilizes a metering gate assembly useful for selectively passing and diverting articles from a stream of articles to either or both a downstream conveyor or a cross conveyor. The metering gate assembly is capable of providing a proportional distribution in response to a user specified control point. The metering gate assembly includes an actuator that is borne by the conveyor bed, and a control valve that is operable to hold a slide gate in a desired position despite the violent vibratory motion imparted by the conveyor bed.
