The processor is programmed to activate the vibrator to notify a wearer of a radio frequency signal received by the transceiver and to transmit an acknowledgement signal via the transceiver. A power source is carried by the hard hat for powering the vibrator, the transceiver and the processor.

Abstract: A hat member has a lower rim with a scarf attached thereto which extends between the temple areas around the back of the head. The scarf has an eye edge proximate the lower part of the eye sockets and extends from there to an area proximate the juncture of the neck with the torso or trunk. The scarf is loose and has folds under the chin so that a coat or other outer garment can be positioned and closed there over without restricting movement of the user. The scarf extends from the rim down proximate the nape of the neck to protect the back of the head and the rear of the neck. The hat member has a crown into which the scarf member can be positioned and stored while the hat is being worn. In turn the scarf may be moved between a stored position in the crown of the hat member and a deployed position removed from the crown and deployed over and about the head of the user.

Abstract: This present invention is for cooling the forehead, face and armpit of a person or imparting cool feeling. The cooling member comprises a water-absorbing material sheet sandwiched between a flexible planar material provided with a ventilation means, having an adequate hardness, and capable of holding its shape, capable of being bent in a predetermined direction and in the reverse direction a plurality of times, and having a curvature in the predetermined direction and backing cloth having a similar area and a means for dividing the water-absorbing material sheet into parts each having an adequate area corresponding to a vent in such a way that water absorbed in the water absorbing material sheet does not flow out easily into adjacent parts and is used for cooling by allowing the water absorbing material sheet to absorb water and by using its heat of evaporation to cool the surroundings.

The layers and space sized and shaped to fit about the contours of a user's entire scalp, ear, and forehead area. The interlayer space is bounded by the inner exterior and inner interior layer surfaces and a seam (forms??) from the layer's connection, and has no seams creating barriers to the exact positioning of a hot or cold pack where it is required. There is a slit throughout the interior and/or exterior layer through which a specific spot-sized or whole head-sized hot or cold pack is inserted. There is an optional strap for securing the hat about a head.
