Edge Bindings Or Protectors Patents (Class 2/222)
  • Patent number: 9833035
Abstract: A boot including a bow-shaped structure is disclosed to prevent water entry from the mouth of the boot. The boot generally includes a sole, an upper portion attached to the sole, a foot portion, a leg portion, and a bow-shaped structure on the front and sides of the leg portion. The edge of the bow-shaped structure tapers up towards the front of the leg portion. The bow part of the bow-shaped structure preferably project outwards 1.75 inches from the surface of the leg portion. While walking in deep water, the bow-shaped structure breaks the upward movement of the water and pushes it back down. The bow-shaped structure is molded onto the boot during the manufacturing of the boot. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a bow-shaped structure that can be attached to leg portion of a boot is provided.

  • Patent number: 9445634
Abstract: A reversible bridesmaid dress, evening gown or evening dress with a hem facing that allows the dress to have one color or pattern on one side and another color or pattern on the other side. When the dress is flipped inside out, it has a completely different appearance than on the other side. The reversible dress can come in a variety of different shapes, types and sizes. The long dresses can bubble up to short ones, and dresses of different colors and lengths may be created from a single reversible dress.

  • Patent number: 6349500
Abstract: A mound-like tree skirt has a generally dome-shaped body and is designed for placement around a tree. The body has an apex with an approximately centered opening to accommodate the tree's trunk. It also has a peripheral edge with a substantially horizontal anchor lip extending circumferentially therefrom. A radial slit extending from the approximately centered opening to the peripheral edge allows the mound-like tree skirt to be slipped around a tree until the tree's trunk is in the centered opening. At least one hole in the anchor lip and a corresponding number of anchor stakes hold the tree skirt in position.

  • Patent number: 6189157
Abstract: A fabric, which can be used more especially as a pierce-proof fabric but also as a decorative fabric, includes a plurality of interconnected scales, which have bores to connect them to one another, and into which connecting members extend. The connecting members are directly formed on the scales. Because the scales overlap one another in the manner of roof tiles (form an imbrication) and because, in order to make a flat connection, the scale itself in the fabric overlaps at least two adjacent scales and is overlapped by at least two additional adjacent scales, the fabric can also meet increased safety requirements in an advantageous manner.

  • Patent number: 6175965
Abstract: A leg protector for trousers comprises a strip of rubber material forming a loop that projects downwardly below the bottom edge of the leg opening in the trouser leg. Stitching attaches the rubber protector in such a manner that a finished hem is formed. Also disclosed is a method of forming a leg protector for trousers while simultaneously forming the finished hem.

  • Patent number: 4879155
Abstract: Pleated cloth made of thermoplastic resin is enhanced in its appearance by providing a film pattern section to the end of the cloth to melt a certain part of pleating. This invention relates to an improved pleated cloth and the method for producing the same, and the method for producing the improved pleated cloth includes the steps of: forming pleating on the cloth made of thermoplastic resin; melt-forming a film pattern section on the adequate area of the pleating lines by using a patterned roller and an ultrasonic generator; and erasing a certain area of the pleating lines by the provision of the film pattern section. The product as above improves over the prior art in that it eliminates the need for the sewing machine and thread used in conventional hemming.

  • Patent number: 4583249
Abstract: A waistband assembly is provided including a woven stiffening strip having a smooth fused edge. The edge may be formed by an ultrasonic slitting process as the strip is made with a high thermoplastic content. Sufficient warp yarns are provided within the strip to insure adequate fusing along the edges. This prevents the fill from working its way out and thereby forming an irregularly shaped edge. A rough edge, which could damage the shell fabric of a garment, is accordingly avoided even after numerous dry cleanings. Because the edge is made from the same materials as the strip itself, it will last as long as the strip.
