Abstract: A protective device (i.e. bib) for covering at least a portion of a wearer's person and/or clothing during procedures such as eating, application of make-up, hair cutting or the like.
The protective device includes a neck attachment adjacent one end and a securing device adjacent the other end.
The neck attachment secures one end of the protective device to the wearer and the securing device secures the other end of the protective device to the wearer, the wearer's attire or some other fixed point to inhibit removal of the protective device.
Abstract: A bib having one or more portions which are permanently elongated. The bib can include a strainable network. The network can be formed in a laminate of a paper layer and a plastic film layer. The strainable network can have at least two visually distinct regions. The strainable network can provide improved flexibility and fit of the bib against the wearer.

Abstract: A disposable garment-protecting cover having a flexible, foldable sheet construction is provided for use when holding a baby against one's shoulder. The sheet construction has upper, lower, and middle regions which are preferably folded therebetween to cover a user's upper back, chest, and shoulder areas, respectively. The middle region has a central aperture through which a user's neck may be extended, and the lower region includes at least two vertical creases which fold the resulting vertical sections toward a back surface of the sheet construction, such that when the garment-protecting cover is donned, the lower region contours to the user's chest.
Abstract: A bib and dish combination device has a bib that preferably has an opening that is designed to accommodate a wearer's neck and to prevent food or beverage from touching a wearer's clothes as the wearer is eating or drinking. The lower end of the bib is preferably intended to engage a dish that is temporarily attached to a high chair tray or table, such as through suction cups or the like. The bib can be attached to the dish in a variety of different ways such that any food or drink that contacts the bib will roll off the bib and into the dish in order to prevent the spillage from falling into the wearer's lap. Further, the length of the bib retained within the device can be varied to accommodate any size individual.
Abstract: A protective covering is disclosed for safeguarding the clothing of a nursing mother from being soiled during nursing of an infant. The covering includes a first member having an upper portion for positioning about the upper torso of a wearer. A pair of flap members depend from the upper portion and are arranged for selective covering of the breasts of the wearer. A second member is sized and shaped for covering the lower torso and lap of the wearer and has an upper edge adapted for positioning proximate to and beneath the breasts of the wearer. The second member is attached to the first member such that the flap members extend over the second member below the upper edge and downwardly toward the waist area of the wearer to provide ease of access to the breasts of the wearer as well as modesty protection during the nursing of an infant.
Abstract: A disposable bib, comprising a liquid-permeable top layer (18), an absorbent inner-core (20), a waterproof, air-permeable back layer (22). Each layer is configured to provide an apron (10), While the top and back layers continue to flow in continues format to provide a C shaped collar (12). An adhesive bond (24) is provided throughout the bib to adhere each layer, one to another, and configured within the apron (10) to provide a cross-stitch pattern equivalent to quilting, to aid in controlling the expansion of the absorbent inner-core. The bib is preferably constructed from bio-degradable materials.
Abstract: A disposable bib 10 is provided. The bib 10 includes an upper member 14 and a first absorbent member 18 coupled to the upper member 14. The disposable bib 10 also includes a second absorbent member 20 which is coupled to the first absorbent member 18. A water resistant member 22 is coupled to the second absorbent member 20. A first multilayer bib arm 24 is coupled to an upper portion of one side of the upper member 14 first and second absorbent members 18 and 20 and water-resistant member 22. A second multilayer bib arm 26 is spaced from the first multilayer bib arm 24 and coupled to an upper portion of another side of the upper member 14 first and second absorbent members 18 and 20 and water-resistant member 22 so that an opening is formed therebetween thereby allowing the bib 10 to be supported around a user's neck.
Abstract: A roll of perforated, disposable bibs are provided, where a plurality of individual bib elements are linearly aligned in a perforated fashion. Each bib element includes a convex upper indentation protruding inward into the main planar surface at the upper boundary of the bib which mates with a concave lower protrusion extending downward from the main planar surface at a lower boundary of an adjacent bib. The concave lower protrusion functions also as a lap protective element, and the convex upper indentation aids in the formation of a neck slot perforation placed near, but slightly below the uppermost edge, and formed in a symmetric, curvilinear manner, having an upward arching lowermost point that smoothly transitions to horizontal at each end of the bib in a manner similar to the convex upper indentation.

Abstract: A bib having an area on each shoulder extension which is permanently elongated to provide extensibility and elasticity which minimizes distortion of the bib body as the shoulder extensions are fastened around a wearer's neck. The area on each shoulder extension can include a strainable network. The network can be formed in a laminate of a paper layer and a plastic film layer. The strainable network can have at least two visually distinct regions.

Abstract: A disposable bib for catching food and liquids while feeding an infant or toddler. The disposable bib includes a panel. The panel has a bottom edge, a top edge, and a pair of side edges. The panel has a top layer, a middle layer and a bottom layer. The top layer comprises a relatively porous material, the middle layer comprises a relatively absorbent material, and the bottom layer comprises a relatively non-porous material. The panel has an opening therein positioned generally adjacent to the top edge.
Abstract: The present invention is a washable bib for wearing over the torso of an individual when the individual is playing with pets. The bib is adjustable at the sides via hook and loop strips to fit most people. Padding is provided at the shoulders of the bib to protect the wearer from injury from a pet's claws. The front of the bib is provided with one set of top opening pockets that are located high on the chest of the wearer and another set of larger top opening pockets that are located at the bottom of the front of the bib. The front of the bib is also provided with interchangeable pet toys that removably secure to the bib under flaps provided on the front of the bib just below the highest set of pockets so that the toys may be removed from the bib when the bib is laundered.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a teething bib having a front side, a back side, an upper portion, a bottom portion, an outer periphery having an outer peripheral edge and teething material operably associated with at least a portion of the outer periphery of the bib. The teething material preferably emanates from the outer peripheral edge of the bib, and may extend around the entire outer periphery. The teething material may also includes gaps. The bib includes an opening for an infant's head, and may also include a fastening member for folding the bottom of the bib into a pocket for the collection of food or liquid during feeding.
Abstract: An easy-on-and-off adjustable protective covering provides maximum protection from liquid and solid spills at the lowest possible cost. The maximum protection comes from: (1) the use of a liquid absorbent surface on the front side (2) the use of a liquid repellent surface on the back side (3) the ability to provide a custom fit for different neck sizes (4) the ability to adjust the tightness of fit around the neck to prevent liquid spills from running down the neck (5) an easy-on-easy-off attachment means that is convenient to use and eliminates the choking hazard of tied straps and (6) a protruding pocket at the bottom to catch and retain spills and runoff.
