  • Patent number: 11476646
Abstract: An apparatus for retracting and extending a main body of a circuit breaker includes: a conveying module for retracting or extending the main body into or from a distribution box of the circuit breaker; a lever module including a lever selectively switching between a first state and a second state, where the lever module allows movement of the conveying module when the lever is in the first state, and disallows movement of the conveying module when the lever is in the second state; and an interlock module configured to allow the lever to switch to the first state only when a predetermined external input is applied to the interlock module.

  • Patent number: 10224741
Abstract: According to an embodiment, an automatic transfer switch bypass breaker system can include a switch gear configured with an automatic transfer switch electrically coupled to a first power sources and to a common load bus. The automatic transfer switch bypass breaker system can further include an automatic transfer switch bypass breaker electrically coupled to the first power source and to the common load bus and a utility bypass breaker electrically coupled to the first power source and to the common load bus. The utility bypass breaker can be configured for supplying power from the first power source directly to the common load bus.

  • Patent number: 9960589
Abstract: The stovetop timer kit is an aftermarket circuit interrupt device adapted for use with electric stoves. The stovetop timer kit uses a current transducer that senses the current flow to the burners and oven of the electric stove. A microcontroller monitors the current flow through the current transducer and when an overcurrent situation is sensed the microcontroller cuts off electric current flow to the burners and oven of the electric stove. The microcontroller is a programmable device that is used to control and operate the device. The stovetop timer kit comprises a control module and an interrupt circuit.

  • Patent number: 8523083
Abstract: A thermostat is configured for automated compatibility with HVAC systems that are either single-HVAC-transformer systems or dual-HVAC-transformer systems. The compatibility is automated in that a manual jumper installation is not required for adaptation to either single-HVAC-transformer systems or dual-HVAC-transformer systems. The thermostat has a plurality of HVAC wire connectors including a first call relay wire connector, a first power return wire connector, a second call relay wire connector, and a second power return wire connector. The thermostat is configured such that if the first and second external wires have been inserted into the first and second power return wire connectors, respectively, then the first and second power return wire connectors are electrically isolated from each other. Otherwise, the first and second power return wire connectors are electrically shorted together.

  • Patent number: 6710695
Abstract: A pushbutton resettable circuit breaker is shown having features to prevent manual opening by simply pulling outwardly on the pushbutton. In one embodiment, the pushbutton (16) is formed with slots (16b) which are configured to provide a reaction surface essentially inaccessible without a special purpose contact opening tool (30). The tool is provided with portions that are insertable into the slots and into engagement with the reaction surfaces for pulling the pushbutton out and manually opening the contacts. In a second embodiment, a small aperture 16k is formed through the rating tab and top and wall of the button and in alignment with a movable plunger (28). A special purpose contact opening tool (32, 34) can be inserted through the aperture to apply a force to the plunger and mechanically trip the circuit breaker.

  • Publication number: 20010000596
Abstract: A breaker apparatus comprises: a breaker switch including a pair of fixed electrodes standing upright on the breaker body, a plug detachably mounted on the breaker body, and a movable electrode provided on the plug for disconnecting and connecting between both fixed electrodes by being pulled out or pushed in to the both fixed electrodes; and a fuse mounted in parallel with the breaker switch, characterized in that a locking lever is pivotably mounted on one of the breaker body and the plug and the locking lever is pivoted to the locking position where the plug is locked in the fitted state, in that the breaker body is provided with a micro switch having a swinging strip for detecting whether or not the locking lever is pivoted to the locking position so that the micro switch is activated when the tip of the locking lever pivots along the length of the swinging strip and presses the swinging strip on the way to activate the micro switch, and in that the tip of the locking lever is formed so that the length is
