  • Patent number: 11967477
Abstract: A programmable pushbutton breaker switch having a pushbutton, a plurality of amperage indicating light emitting diodes (LEDs), a plurality of breaker circuits, and a plurality of LED light pipes in an interior of the pushbutton. Each of the LEDs is associated with a specific breaker circuit and with a specific light pipe. Light from a specific LED passes through a specific LED light pipe and produces an indicator light on the top of the pushbutton. The indicator light identifies an amperage amount, shown on the top of the pushbutton, of a specific breaker circuit. A programming switch inside the programmable pushbutton breaker switch allows the operation of the pushbutton to select a desired breaker amperage amount from a plurality of breaker amperage amounts shown on the top of the pushbutton and to set and store the desired amperage amounts in the programmable pushbutton breaker switch.

  • Patent number: 9281726
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator for operating a positioning element. A common requirement in such actuators is that the positioning element can be decoupled from the electric motor that drives the positioning element via a transmission. In some applications the actuators are so compact that the only way to decouple the actuator is to disassemble parts of the actuator. To connect the positioning element to the electric motor again, this however requires that the whole actuator is demounted so as to ensure that the disassembled parts are properly assembled. The present invention overcomes this problem by providing an actuator comprising two toothed wheels which by mutual displacement can be brought out of mesh and which each comprises at least two toothed rims positioned with a spacing corresponding to at least the width of one toothed rim.

These interface means comprise at least a display which shows information relative to the output and/or input functions according to a viewing direction. The switching device also comprises means to select the viewing direction which are operatively connected to the display. These selection means allow selection of the viewing direction on the display as a function of the installation configuration of the switching device.

  • Patent number: 7965493
Abstract: A subunit is provided for a motor control center including an enclosure, a number of compartments, a plurality of power lines, and a number of covers for covering the compartments. The subunit includes a housing removably disposed within a corresponding one of the compartments, a plurality of electrical contacts movably coupled to the housing, and an actuating assembly for moving the electrical contacts into and out of electrical contact with the power lines. The subunit further includes at least one of a locking assembly, a panel assembly, and a secondary disconnect assembly. The locking assembly locks the position of the electrical contacts and restricts access to the actuating assembly. The panel assembly is pivotable and translatable with respect to the subunit housing. The secondary disconnect assembly is independent from the actuating assembly in order that movement of the electrical contacts does not move the secondary disconnect assembly.

Abstract: A dampening mechanism for an electrical for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a draw-out circuit breaker, includes a mounting bracket coupled to the circuit breaker, a pivot member, at least one biasing element, and a damper. The circuit breaker is movable into and out of an installed position within a switchgear enclosure. The pivot member pivots between first and second positions corresponding to the circuit breaker not being fully installed and being disposed in the installed position, respectively. The biasing element biases the pivot member toward the first position. When the circuit breaker is moved toward the installed position, the second end of the pivot member engages at least one of a back panel and a ledge of the enclosure, thereby pivoting the pivot member toward the second position. When the pivot member is disposed in the second position, the damper is biased against the ledge of the enclosure to dampen undesired vertical motion of the circuit breaker.
