  • Patent number: 8101878
Abstract: A GU24 3-way dimmer knob-type switch lamp holder is disclosed, where the body of the lamp holder is provided with three contact plates at the two sides of its interior and on its bottom. And an insulating rotor and a rotor conducting plate therein is driven by a knob. The rotor conducting plate is shaped into four portions along its rim, where three of them come with a shaped contact plate, while the fourth is void. The insulating rotor and the rotor conducting plate are driven to rotate by turning the knob, which enables three contact plates in the body and three contact plates of the rotor conducting plate to form no conduction or different conduction modes that enable various levels of illumination: dim, moderate and high brightness after power ON and feature power OFF as well.

  • Patent number: 7478926
Abstract: A lamp socket has a casing, a switching contact assembly, a stem assembly, an electric tab, a photo switch, a first electric connector and a second electric connector. The switching contact assembly is mounted in the casing and around the stem assembly. The stem assembly has a pawl. The pawl has multiple surfaces. The electric tab is mounted on two of the surfaces of the pawl and selectively contacts the switching contact assembly. The first electric connector and the second electric connector are connected electrically to the photo switch. The contact between the electric tab and the switching contact assembly switches via turning the stem assembly to turn on or off two lights. Furthermore, the lamp socket turns on one of the lights based on ambient light.

  • Patent number: 7161101
Abstract: Lamp-socket with built-in switch, wherein the switch can to be driven by a knob, a cord, a chain or a lever associated with a type “ratchet” mechanism which allows to close and to open the lamp power supply connection contacts. On transversal plane defined in the back end of its frontal side, the lamp-socket has a perpendicular connection bridge where the switching mechanism is laterally engaged, this is confined according with the projection of the gap defined by the lamp-socket frontal side perimeter and by the height of the bridge upper transversal edge. The switching mechanism, according to the possible embodiments, is conformed by a “ratchet sleeve” associated with a cam or “lever creek” in order to actuate it by a cord or a chain, or by a revolving bushing actuated by a knob or a “L” shaped lever.

  • Patent number: 6396009
Abstract: A lamp receptacle for a screw bulb includes a seat, a multiple-stage power adjusting switch mounted in the seat and having a ratchet wheel and a conductive bridging shroud attached to the ratchet wheel, first and second spring arms selectively in resilient contact with one of the ratchet wheel and the bridging shroud, a third spring arm in electrical contact with the second spring arm and the screw bulb, and a resistor in electrical contact with the bridging shroud and the third spring arm. The switch is turnable among an ON position, where a current can pass through the first, second and third spring arms, a DIM position, where the current can pass through the first spring arm, the resistor and the third spring arm, and an OFF position, where the first spring arm is disconnected from a power supply.
