Feeler Moves Into Detecting Contact With Object Patents (Class 200/61.42)
  • Patent number: 11861053
Abstract: Techniques for tamper detection of a memory module having non-volatile memory devices resident on a printed circuit board (PCB) by circuitry of a controller also resident on the PCB. Examples include determining resistance values of a character pattern sprayed on a side of a cover facing the non-volatile memory devices using conductive ink following first and second boots of the memory module and asserting a bit of a register to indicate tampering of the memory modules based on a comparison of the resistance values. Tamper policy actions may be initiated based on detection of tampering.

  • Patent number: 6792640
Abstract: An electric, motorized toothbrush includes a switch that has an “automatic” position. The “automatic” mode provides for intermittent motorized operation, which is dependent upon application of an external force. Various embodiments allow for the force to be exerted either on the toothbrush handle, such as when it is gripped by the user, or on the brush head itself—e.g., when the brush head contacts the user's teeth. A substantially hollow housing allows for placement of battery, motor, gears, and linkages to facilitate motorized movement of the brush head.

  • Patent number: 6284990
Abstract: A safety switch is provided to detect when a tube launched which exits the tube. The switch is located within the vehicle having a switch plunger extending to the periphery of the vehicle. The plunger is biased to provide outward pressure against a lever on the exterior of the vehicle. The lever rides within the bore of the launch tube such that, when the vehicle is within the launch tube, the lever contacts the interior bore of the tube. The lever contacting the tube bore prevents the plunger from extending to activate the switch. When the vehicle exits the tube, the lever is free to rotate away from the vehicle allowing the plunger to extend and activate the switch which may be a single or multi-pole switch.
