Abstract: A bicycle transport packaging which is in particular suitable for shipping bicycles includes a base body. The base body having four sides arranged all around. Two mutually opposite sides, i.e. an upper side and a lower side of the base body are open. For transport purposes, they are respectively closed by a separate cover element and a separate bottom element. According to the invention, in the area of the cover element a reinforcing element extending in particular over the overall length and width of the cover opening is provided.

Abstract: A motor vehicle and occupant seat combination may include any one or combination of means for selectively preventing forward pivoting of at least one vehicle seat, one or more web attenuators for dampen forces applied thereby by one or more respective shoulder webs of at least one occupant restraint system, at least one sleeve received on at least one shoulder web and a corresponding sleeve adjuster for adjusting a position of the sleeve along the respective shoulder web, and one or more ratcheting web retractors for selectively tightening a lap web or a thigh web about an occupant of at least one vehicle seat.

Abstract: A bicycle transport container includes an outer container which is designed so as to be in particular cuboidal. A frame retaining element is arranged inside the outer container. The frame retaining element can be taken out of the outer container, together with the bicycle frame. Since the frame retaining element includes a bottom side that is designed as a base, the frame retaining element can stand autonomously, independently of the outer container, together with the bicycle frame.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for making scored mediums, particularly but not exclusively for use in the corrugated board arts, and articles of manufacture and compositions made there with and made there by. When at least one scored medium is used in a layered or laminated article, and particularly when selectively used as a liner member and/or fluted member in a corrugated board, whether as part of a corrugated board article of manufacture or a laminate with at least one other member, the article will possess mechanical qualities superior to those that would otherwise exist if a non-scored medium was/were used. To achieve these desired qualities, a major axis of the scores formed in the scored medium runs askew, and preferably perpendicular, to the direction of beam strength in any article or article intermediate to which the scored medium is to be associated.

Abstract: An audio system for a vehicle, such as a personal watercraft, having a vehicle body dimensioned for receiving a side-view mirror, includes a speaker pod that includes a housing dimensioned for supporting a speaker operable to produce sound, and a mounting member for mounting the speaker pod to the vehicle body in place of the side-view mirror. A portion of the housing is shaped similarly to a corresponding portion of the side-view mirror. A method of installing an audio system on a vehicle having a vehicle body dimensioned for receiving a side-view mirror involves: (a) determining that the side-view mirror is removed from the vehicle body; and (b) mounting a speaker pod of the audio system, along a mounting member of the speaker pod, to the vehicle body in place of the side-view mirror such that a housing of the speaker pod supports a speaker operable to produce sound.

Abstract: A conveying apparatus includes an outer casing for disposing the conveying apparatus on a traveling structure, a storage case that is disposed inside the outer casing and that allows a stored article to be placed therein and removed therefrom from above, a plurality of stretchable elastic members that are spaced apart from each other in a crosswise direction and each of which includes a bridging portion that bridges between front and rear ends of the outer casing in a traveling direction of the traveling structure, and a plurality of suspension devices that are spaced apart from each other at least in a fore-aft direction and each of which includes an upper end assuming a supported portion that is supported slidably on the elastic member and a lower end assuming a supporting portion that supports the storage case.

Abstract: With the use of a low cost microphone mounted at each nozzle, a sound signature of the nozzles may be captured and stored to be used as a continuous indicator of any changes in the flow rate of the nozzles. By measuring changes in sound at each nozzle, it is possible to determine the change in flow before a change in pressure manifests into a problem in the system. The change in sound will oftentimes be significant for plugged nozzles, or nozzles that have excessive wear and flow at too high of a rate. The invention has the advantage of being relatively low cost with ceramic microphones, for example, and with little or no moving parts required. A closed loop control system may be included to compensate for nozzle degradation.

Abstract: A wheel for a bicycle, or other human powerable vehicle, has a hub that includes: (a) an axle for attachment to a bicycle frame; (b) a set of bearings that connect the axle to a rotating sleeve; and (c) at least three connection points fixedly connected to the rotating sleeve. The connection points are used to detachably attach an annular module to the hub using attachment elements that each comprise conical frustum surfaces. The attachment elements are configured to axially press a portion of the hub to a portion of the annular module, as well as radially aligning the hub to the annular module. The annular module also has a set of spoke attachment points configured for tensioned spokes that connect the annular module to a wheel rim. The spoke attachment points are in a circular configuration on two parallel offset planes that are perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rim.

Abstract: A ballast bag includes a top portion, a center portion coupled to the top portion, a bottom portion coupled to the center portion, and a spring coupled to the top portion and the bottom portion and encapsulated by the center portion, the spring being capable of expanding the ballast bag from a compact state to an erect state, the ballast bag being capable of retaining water in the erect state.

Abstract: A method of loading a flexible enclosure, and the flexible enclosure. The enclosure has a floor, a sealable port, and a top enclosure. The top enclosure has an opening that is sealingly closable with an airtight closure. The method includes the steps of selecting a parking location for the enclosure, and positioning the enclosure over the parking location. Equipment, such as a vehicle is loaded in the enclosure. The enclosure is sealed, and the internal atmosphere of the enclosure is modified, such as lowering the oxygen content of the interior atmosphere.

Abstract: A bicycle frame system comprises a connection module that rotatably connects a front frame section to a rear frame section. The connection module comprises a hinge section and a clamp section. The hinge section is below the clamp section when the bicycle frame system is in a ridable orientation. The connection module hinge section has a horizontal axis of rotation configured for rotating a front bicycle frame section approximately 180 degrees downwards and rearwards relative to a rear bicycle same frame section to convert the bicycle frame system from a ridable configuration to a folded configuration. The connection module clamp section comprises a front clamp block, a rear clamp block and a fastening device. The fastening device is configured to secure the front clamp block to the rear clamp block when the bicycle frame system is in a ridable configuration.

Abstract: A logistics system, adaptor pallet and load carrier are proposed for transporting many load carriers at once. The novel logistics system includes at least one load carrier and an adaptor pallet for receiving a plurality of such load carriers. The adaptor pallet includes a detent, which has a deployed configuration, in which the detent is configured to prevent lateral movement of the at least one load carrier, and a released configuration, in which the detent is configured to allow lateral movement of the at least one load carrier. The logistics system also includes a locking interface having a first counterpart fixed to the adaptor pallet and a second counterpart provided to the at least one load carrier. The first and second counterpart have been configured to engage each other, when the at least one load carrier is in the transporting position on the adaptor pallet so as to prevent rotation movement of the at least one load carrier in respect to the adaptor pallet.

Abstract: A bicycle transport case includes a container adapted to be opened and closed. The container includes a first outer side and a second outer side and has a chamber for receiving a bicycle frame defined by interior sides of the first and second outer sides. A retaining device configured to retain the bicycle frame at various angular orientations is pivotally and detachably connected to the container. The retaining device includes a main guide rail pivotally connected to the container about an axis and at least one retaining stand for retaining the bicycle frame movably mounted on the main guide rail and adapted to be locked in various positions on the main guide rail.

Abstract: A system and method for packing a human-powerable vehicle uses two frame sections that pivot about a horizontal axis parallel to the central axis of the bottom bracket housing cylinder to convert from a rideable configuration to a packed configuration. The pivot axis for folding the two frame sections is located forward of a main seat tube and above a bottom bracket housing that are permanently and rigidly attached to each other and to rear stays for holding a rear wheel. The bottom of the main seat tube is located forward of the bottom bracket housing on the rear frame section. The front frame section rotates downward and clockwise, when looked at from the starboard side, through a rotation of approximately of about 180 degrees to convert from a rideable configuration to a packed configuration. A detachable connection located above the pivot axis rigidly secures the front frame section to the rear frame section when the frame is in a rideable configuration.

Abstract: A bicycle packaging structure for a bicycle including a bicycle frame is provided. The bicycle packaging structure includes an exhibition box and at least one fixing member. The exhibition box includes a lower plate, a side plate surrounding the lower plate, an accommodating space formed by the lower plate and the side plate, and an exhibition opening at one side of the side plate away from the lower plate. The bicycle frame is accommodated in the accommodating space and mounted on the lower plate by the at least one fixing member. Thus, the bicycle frame may be directly exhibited through the exhibition opening and be sold to eliminate conventional complications of box opening and assembly for exhibition and post-exhibition re-boxing. The bicycle frame is placed in the exhibition box for carrying outdoors to achieve objects of recycling and reducing costs and burden on the environment.

Abstract: A carrier for vehicles having a base shaped like a quadrilateral, more specifically a parallelogram with unequal adjacent sides and no right angles. Furthermore, the base has a vertical support coupled through a housing to each vertex wherein the support is collapsible having an upright and a horizontal orientation. Each vertex of the frame comprises a target to permit the stacking of the carriers by allowing the vertical supports of a lower carrier to be inserted into the target of an upper carrier. The frame of the carrier is provided with means for securing the motorcycle to the frame and with entry chambers to lift the carrier using forklifts.

Abstract: A boat ramp designed to collapse so the amphibious vehicle may be towed at highway speeds. The ramp fabricated of a central isosceles triangle hinged to the vehicle at its base flanks a pair of right triangles hinged along their hypotenuses such that the ramp can be folded over the vehicle during travel. The hinged portion is reinforced with removable steel channel during use.

Abstract: A retention system includes a base supporting a wing spar and a post extending through the base from a first side of the base to a second side of the base. The post inserts through an aperture in the spar. A stop is selectively securable to the post over the second side of the base. A locking member engages the post on the first side of the base. The locking member is configured to selectively move the post from an unlocked position to a locked position in which the post is withdrawn toward the first side relative to the unlocked position. A biasing member encircles the post and is positioned between the stop and the second side. When the locking member is in a closed position the biasing member expands to engage the aperture and resist movement of the wing spar. A plurality of cradles may support the wing.

Abstract: An inventory system includes a pallet and a base for palletizing or unpalletizing a mobile drive unit. The pallet has a set of openings corresponding with features of the mobile drive unit. The mobile drive unit features may extend into the pallet openings. The base includes protrusions corresponding to the pallet openings. Engaging the pallet and base can position the base protrusions in the pallet openings. Positioning the base protrusions in the pallet openings can displace the mobile drive unit features from the pallet openings and/or provide a surface upon which the mobile drive unit can navigate.

Abstract: A cardboard packaging is produced from a flat cardboard blank by simple manual folds and without using tools, and is used for packing elongate objects having bent ends. The cardboard packaging has a rectangular central portion and two rectangular side portions which are symmetrically arranged on opposing sides of the central region so as to be inclined at the same angle relative to the central portion, such that a concave upper face and a convex lower face of the cardboard packaging result. The front faces of the side and central portions, and the rear faces of the side and central portions each form parallel planes, overlap regions resulting between the side portions and the central portion. The surfaces of the side portions are each connected to the surface of the central portion by two tuck-in flap connections designed as counter-tuck-in flap connections.

Abstract: A reclosable wiper blade package for holding a beam-type wiper blade having a wiper blade adapter-receiving cradle of a blade receiving cavity formed in one of a pair of package halves that is configured for snap fit engagement with an adapter of the wiper blade releasably retained in the blade receiving cavity. The carrier includes means for mounting the partially disassembled bicycle to a base while providing for adjustment of the mounting means dependent on the size of the bicycle. Also disclosed are wheel retention means for releasably mounting the wheels of the bicycle to one side of the transport case, and isolation means to separate the bicycle frame from the wheels.

Abstract: Containers and methods are disclosed for replacing expired or unserviceable aircraft emergency slides (“slides”) in an aircraft. The disclosed containers are configured to securely retain both unserviceable slides and serviceable slides. The containers can be placed on an aircraft through the main door of the aircraft, and are further configured to be easily transported within the aircraft from a staging area of the aircraft to a slide installation and removal point at either the main door or an emergency exit door of the aircraft. The containers can be aligned with the installation and removal point to facilitate replacing an unserviceable slide with a new, serviceable slide. The disclosed containers and methods improve personnel safety concerning lifting and handling of the slides, which are heavy.

The bicycle bag includes resealable openings configured to allow the bicycle (and bag) to be securely attached to a wide variety of different rack types. Abstract: A part packaging system and method includes a package blank formed as a single sheet of foldable material having fold lines disposed thereon and cutout portions defined therein for enabling the package blank to be folded into a configuration of an enclosed package. The system further includes a jig configured to complementarily receive the package blank and facilitate folding of the package blank into the enclosed package. The jig includes contact portions that correspond to the fold lines of the package blank such that pressure applied to the package blank when received in the jig causes the package blank to fold along the fold lines toward the configuration of the enclosed package.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a storage compartment for storing personal items in a vehicle. The storage compartment may include a pouch having a front side and a backside, the backside and the front side being attached to form a main cavity, a fastener positioned on the front side of the pouch, and a secondary cavity positioned on a backside of the pouch. The pouch may have a pair of upper corners, each of the upper corners including a mounting fastener configured to engage with a headrest post on a seat in a vehicle. The pouch may also have a pair of bottom corners, each of the bottom corners being configured to removably attach to the fastener on the front side of the pouch. In embodiments, the main cavity may be used to store a larger personal item, such as a purse or a laptop.
