At least one removable appendage present in the carrier portion includes a first relatively narrow edge, a second relatively wider edge, and S-shaped side edges joining the first and second edges. The removal appendage can be applied to the sidewalls of a box blank to maintain the edges of the sidewalls on an adjacent position during installation of the label. The back sheet can also be provided with one or more foldable index tabs to help position the box relative to the label assembly during installation of the label.

A base blister portion configured to receive some form of media or material is molded from a formable heat sealable polymer such as PETG. A film consisting of a first layer of an amorphous polyester such as APET for heat sealing to the PETG, a second layer of a polyester such as PET, and an adhesive layer is used to laminate a graphical paper based cover thereby allowing the laminated cover to be heat sealed to the blister portion. In a preferred embodiment, the PET and APET are preferably coextruded.

A rib on each end plate forms a spiral groove that edgewise receives a spiral wrapping of a film having a width greater than 300 mm. Spaces between turns of the film wrapping define a gas flow channel and spaces between adjacent turns of the rib define a plurality of inlet openings in one end plate that communicate with the channel. Each rib has a predetermined width dimension, a predetermined average thickness dimension, and a width-to-thickness aspect ratio of at least 2:1. The spacing between end plates is at least three hundred millimeters (300 mm) and is also greater than the width dimension of a film substrate at a gaseous deposition temperature. The width dimension of each rib is between about 0.5% to about 2.0% of the end plate spacing.

The present invention relates particularly to providing covers with information on the outer surfaces of compact disc, DVD and other product containers. Labels may be attached to stacks of one or more rigid holders in order to display information on the cover, spine or base. Printed graphic cards may be inserted between the rigid plastic holders and covers of clear, flexible cover material. The clear cover material is formed into a clear pocket attached at the opening edge of the rigid cover and base. Alternatively, printed graphic cards are adhered to the outer rigid holders by placing adhesive on the cover and base holders but not on the spines. Also, a clear pocket may be attached to the spine of a stack of rigid holders with a printed graphic insert sliding into the pocket.

Abstract: A cassette 5 with longitudinal and transverse dimensions similar to each other is housed in a cassette storing case which can prevent housing of a cassette into the housing case in an incorrect direction and identify a dedicated cassette storing case corresponding to a cassette, while assuring the function of preventing positional shift during stacking. The cassette storing case 1 includes an indicating portion 15 provided on the top surface 1a of the housing case. The indicating portion 15 has a protrusion-and-recess pattern, similar to a design on the cassette, which indicates a housing direction. The cassette storing case 1 further includes a stopper portion 17, provided on the bottom surface 1b of the housing case, for engaging with part 16 of the indicating portion 15 to regulate positional shift when housing cases are stacked with each other.
