Abstract: A multi-functional survival kit includes a multi-part canteen for storing water, but that can also be broken down into a basin, a parabolic lid, and a cap. The basin, parabolic lid and cap can be used standalone or in conjunction with one another to provide various survival functions. A mirrored concave surface of the parabolic lid provides a means for starting a fire, while a basin handle of the basin allows the basin to be used for cooking purposes. The basin handle has a viewing space that can be used with the cap, which includes a compass, as a directional sight when the basin handle is pivoted ninety degrees. For transport, the canteen can be stored in a carrying case, which includes a strap to which a paracord can be attached. A pan, mess kit, and metal match are also included and stored in the carrying case.

Abstract: A lunch box system includes a hollow body, two lids, a handle, and interchangeable display inserts. The hollow body has an external rib around the sides of the hollow body. The external rib defines holes along its length. The handle detachably secures to any two of the holes. The lids cover the open ends of the hollow body and each has tabs on their exterior for detachably securing the display inserts. Other accessories may also be detachably secured to the holes of the external rib.

Abstract: The invention described herein comprises a food storage container that provides an insulated box member having a plurality of walls defining an internal cavity, and at least one wall being hinged or otherwise movable to enable access to the interior. The box is conditioned to carry a plurality of internal, modular storage bin members of various shapes and capacities.

Abstract: A courier expressable cargo quilt having an elongated, substantially rectangular body comprising an insulative material including a plurality of panels substantially foldably connected, defining an accordian-like structure, the accordian-like structure having an unfolded position adapted to facilitate placement of the body substantially over a tmperature sensative load by unfolding the accordian-like structure and a folded position adapted to provide a courier-expressable cargo quilt; and an exterior cover structure adapted to at least partially enclose the accordian-like structure.

Abstract: A portable container for transporting and providing consumable substances, preferably liquid, to pets includes a storage container for storing a substance and a removably attached serving container. The storage container includes a carrying strap to facilitate transport of the portable container and indicia, preferably a photograph, identifying the pet or pet owner. The indicia is covered by a lens to protect and maintain the indicia on the storage container. The storage container further includes a spout to facilitate transference of the substance to and from the storage container, and a spout cover to prevent spillage during transport. Tabs are disposed on the serving and storage containers wherein the tabs are positioned adjacent each other when the serving container is placed on the storage container to facilitate attachment and removal of the serving container from the storage container.

Abstract: The present invention allows for a multi-use tote lunch bag which addresses the object of easy accessability, securing food items, keeping food items either warm or cool, protecting food items and liquids, compactness, and the ability to convert the tote lunch bag for other uses.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a portable, insulated carrier having a generally rigid housing defining a primary insulated compartment. An auxiliary storage assembly is attached to the housing for retaining an article on the housing externally of the primary insulated compartment. The auxiliary storage assembly includes a ledge and a retainer whereby the article abuts the ledge and is retained against the housing by the retainer. A secondary storage assembly is attached to the outside surface of the housing externally of the primary insulated compartment. The secondary storage assembly is formed of a flexible material to secure the contents yet provide access when necessary. An article retention assembly is attached to an outside surface of the housing. The retention assembly includes a generally elastic panel portion attached to an exterior surface of the housing with at least one edge thereof defining an opening for receiving articles therethrough.

Abstract: A food-service kit and method includes a plurality of similar or diverse-type containers wherein the containers may be coupled together in various configurations to form toy-like assemblies. The respective containers include compatible projection and socket configurations so that they may be joined together as building blocks in order to create the toy-like devices.

Abstract: A canteen includes a canteen body which confines a compartment for storing refreshments therein, a food container which has a container body that is mounted to a base of the canteen body and that confines a compartment for storing solid food therein, and a base plate that is mounted on an open bottom of the container body and that is formed with an access hole to access the compartment of the container body, and a cover plate which is mounted movably to the food container so as to cover selectively the access hole.

The bag is especially convenient for placing on the center console of automobiles that have such space on the floor.

The cooking pan, inverted, fits over the skillet to form a food storage container. Moreover, the kettle is formed with a spout covered with a cap which is also securable to the kettle as a handle. Attached to the skillet is a handle which, when the cooking assembly is assembled, fits over and around the kettle, locking the cooking assembly together.

Abstract: A seat cushion comprising a cushioned container for use in carrying a plurality of different fluids is provided. The container has a seat cover which has a cushioning material that encloses a plurality of container cavities for the fluids. The container cavities have respective telescoping spigots, which extend outside the seat cover, for drawing off a desired beverage from a selected container cavity. The seat cover has an optional handle for carrying the seat cushion.

Abstract: A cooking vessel includes a pan and a cover, and the cover having a lid and a shield assembly with a peripheral space therebetween. The shield assembly comprises an expansible shield member which is supported by the pan, and a plurality of clip members which support the lid and which are supported by the expansible shield member. The expansible shield member includes an overlapping peripherally spaced end portions for adjusting the diameter of the shield member.

Abstract: A cup is disclosed which is nestable on the end of a hiker's plastic bottle. The cup has a handle which is movable between a stored position in which it nests around the outside of the cup body and a use position in which the handle extends out radially from the cup sidewall. The handle has a third position, reversed from the second, in which the handle loops up over the mouth of the cup from one side on the cup lip to a diametrically opposite site to provide a bail for suspended support of the cup, e.g. for hanging the cup over a fire. A pouch may be provided for permitting the user to wear the compact stowed-handle/bottle-nested cup unit. The cup handle includes a doubled wire member with tangs that removably mount in a bracket provided on the cup sidewall. A slider is provided on the handle, this slider being movable between a position where the handle is relatively fixed to the cup and a position where the handle can be shifted or changed from one to another of its three positions.

Abstract: A survival kit comprising, inter alia, a replacement cap for a conventional canteen, a gasket, and a collapsible tube. The cap includes a crown and an annular depending skirt; a passage is defined clear-through the crown and the skirt is internally screw threaded so that the cap can be secured to the threaded neck of a canteen. The gasket is a flat annular washer with a central aperture. The collapsible tube is formed of several telescoping sections and one end of the tube is threaded.When the survival kit is utilized to obtain potable water from salt water, contaminated water, vegetable matter, etc., the cap of the canteen is removed, and the collapsible tube is removed from the interior of the canteen. The gasket is positioned atop the neck of the canteen, and the replacement cap is secured thereover after partially filling the canteen. The collapsible tube is extended, and the threaded end thereof is secured within the aperture in the replacement cap.

Abstract: A water purifying system unit that is portable, fabricated of durable parts and makes provision for storage of basic survival needs in addition to water. A double chamber unit with bag and filter with separating filter and storage compartment provides three stage filtration of water. An appropriate mouthpiece makes drinking directly from the unit possible.

Abstract: A survival kit container is used for containing items -- such as first-aid, direction-finding, and food-supplying -- for use in a survival emergency situation. My present invention is such a container so designed that emptied of its contents and its parts assembled in varying combinations becomes alternately a canteen flask, stew pot, kettle or skillet for use in survival-type emergencies.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONMy invention relates to a unique and novel improvement in survival equipment.An object of my present invention is to provide a container for personal survival items.A further object of my present invention is to provide a container that further functions when desired as a canteen flask for purifying and carrying water.Another object of my present invention is to provide a container that further functions as a skillet for cooking.Still another object of my present invention is to provide a container that further functions as a kettle for heating and pouring of liquids.
